Eco-Activists Arrested While Trying to Rain on Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Parade

'This transition is common sense and simple, we all win... '

(Headline USARadical environmentalist activists disrupted the start of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Weekend on Thursday, demanding that the royal family cede land and advocate for clean energy.

Two of the activists, all of whom were a part of the radical Animal Rebellion group, sat in the middle of the road as a marching band announcing the queen’s arrival approached. Both were removed, and multiple other activists were arrested.

“A number of arrests have been made of people who attempted to enter the ceremonial route in The Mall at approximately 10:10 a.m. today,” a spokesperson for the police told the Daily Mail. “The arrests were public order related for highway obstruction.”

One activist, Beau King Houstoun, blasted the royal family for eating meat and not transitioning to plant-based farming.

“This transition is common sense and simple, we all win. 76% of currently farmed land could be rewilded and absorb carbon from the atmosphere,” Kingston said.

“This would restore nature, spare billions of animals, and present a solution to the climate emergency, all in one act.”

The activists also blasted the royal family for using private jets, arguing that they have a carbon footprint “334x the average British person.”
