Disney Pledges More Gay Content for Kids after Backlash over Fla. Grooming Bill

'I and the leadership team are determined to use this moment as a catalyst for more meaningful and lasting change... '

(Joshua Paladino, Headline USA) Disney CEO Bob Chapek said on March 21 at a town hall event that he would organize a task force to promote LGBTQ+ material in the company’s children’s content.

Chapek’s promise to increase Disney’s child-grooming practices comes as employees threatened to quit, reported the Daily Mail. In the most recent example, Disney announced that a “Toy Story” spinoff called “Lightyear” will feature two women kissing.

Pro-LGBTQ employees said that Disney did not do enough to oppose Florida‘s bill that will prevent sex education in kindergarten through third grade. Employees staged a walkout on March 22 to express their dissatisfaction with the company.

Even as Disney funds genocide and slavery in China, Chapek said he felt guilty that he did not publicly condemn Florida’s so-called “Don’t Say Gay” bill, which does not, in fact, mention the word “gay” at all. The bill is called Parental Rights in Education.

Earlier, Chapek apologized to his workers for “letting [them] down.”

He promised to use the Left’s hatred for the Florida bill to expand the LGBTQ+ agenda.

“I and the leadership team are determined to use this moment as a catalyst for more meaningful and lasting change,” Chapek said.

Disney posted a contrite message on Facebook.

“We oppose any legislation that infringes on basic human rights, and stand in solidarity and support our LGBTQIA+ Cast, Crew, and Imagineers and fans who make their voices heard today and every day,” the company wrote, alongside a rainbow-colored Mickey Mouse figure.

Chapek also said that he opposes Texas Gov. Greg Abbott‘s decision to treat child sex surgeries and hormone injections as child abuse. Parents who force their children into undergoing these dangerous and permanent procedures will face prosecution in Texas.
