(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) The Democrat stronghold of El Paso, Texas, has been sending busses of illegal immigrants to New York City for weeks, yet leftists have made a major stink about Republican governors simply doing the same thing, the Daily Mail reported.
According to Rep. Michael Waltz, R-Fla., the only thing that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott have done wrong is be Republicans.
“Those are Biden administration/taxpayer-funded contracts with a number of NGOs that are flying these people in the dead of night to all of these same locations, then it’s fine,” Waltz told Fox News last week, alluding to the political maneuvering of leftist leaders in El Paso.
“But if you have Governor DeSantis or Governor Abbott or [Arizona] Governor Ducey doing it in the middle of the day when everyone can see it, then suddenly we’re up in arms and having a collective political meltdown.”
Waltz suggested that Americans cannot continue to pay for the mass number of illegals flowing across the nation’s southern border.
“Either way, all of those services that American citizens and legal immigrants deserve are now being taxed by millions and millions and millions of people that we just can’t afford to feed and house and clothe,” the Florida lawmaker said.
Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz also took shots at the Left for their hypocrisy, particularly the residents of the far-Left Martha’s Vineyard.
“Last year, Martha Vineyard leadership said they’d love Martha’s Vineyard to be a ‘haven’ for immigrants,” Cruz said. “But with just 50 illegal aliens, it just took 24 hour before they deported them out of the Vineyard!”
Cruz also called President Joe Biden “the biggest human trafficker on the face of the planet.”
Biden’s press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre fired back, comparing DeSantis and Abbott to slave traders.
“These were children,” she said of the illegal immigrants. “They were moms. They were fleeing communism. And what did Governor DeSantis and Governor Abbott do to them? They used them as political pawns, treated them like chattel.”
