Cheney, Kinzinger Mum on Claim that FBI Censored Laptop News

'This is a really dangerous moment...'

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) The two RINOs serving on the partisan Jan. 6 committee have been unusually quiet regarding the recent bombshell admission from Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg that the FBI told social-media platforms to censor the Hunter Biden laptop story.

In a recent appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Zuckerberg admitted that the FBI came to Facebook before the 2020 election and encouraged it to censor the story, which it falsely claimed was Russian disinformation.

“We just kind of thought, hey, look, if the FBI, which I still view as a legitimate institution in this country, it’s like very professional law enforcement, they come to us and tell us that we need to be on guard about something, then I want to take that seriously,” Zuckerberg told Rogan.

According to the Daily Wire, Reps. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., and Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill., both have yet to comment on the revelation, despite their robust past defense of the politicized FBI.

Cheney, who recently lost her primary bid for re-election, slammed GOP colleagues for reacting in outrage to the FBI’s recent raid of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort.

“I was ashamed to hear Republicans immediately and reflexively attack the FBI agents who executed the search warrant,” Cheney said.

“I was disgusted when I learned that President Trump had released the names of the agents when he released the unredacted search warrant, and that has now caused violence,” she added. “This is a really dangerous moment.”

Not long after the Zuckerberg story broke, Kinzinger retweeted a story about former Trump’s social media platform being late to pay its bills to RightForge, a web hosting company.

Kinzinger also accused Trump of inciting his supporters against the FBI, saying that he was “100 percent” responsible in an interview on CNN.
