(Headline USA) Vice President Kamala Harris has continued to take criticism on all sides, especially for her handling of the southern border crisis.
Now, though, it seems she is in hot water for a new allegation.
The granddaughter of famous singer Nina Simone launched major accusations against the vice president, saying Harris bullied her mother so much she “almost killed herself.”
“Nina’s granddaughter here,” ReAnna Simone Kelly wrote on Twitter. “My family doesn’t run her estate anymore. It was taken away from us [and] given to white people. Our family name was DRAGGED in the media. We get NO royalties, nothing. Wanna hold someone accountable? Ask Kamala Harris why she came for my family.”

Kelly says that when Harris was California attorney general, she forced Kelly’s family to lose her estate which almost pushed her mother to suicide. The tweetstorm sparked headlines and likely caused another headache for Harris, who has struggled to handle the media amidst a string of gaffes.
“As I said before, Ask her why she separated my family,” she continued. “Ask her why my grandmothers estate is in SHAMBLES now. Ask her why we as her family no longer own the rights to anything. Ask her why she bullied my mother in court and my mom almost killed herself from the depression.”

Nina’s daughter lost the estate in a case prosecuted by Harris, who argued that Reanna’s mother broke her fiduciary duty when managing the charitable fund and estate.
