(Corine Gatti, Headline USA) California again set precedent for why the state has long been considered the hub of far-left activism, when Burbank Democrat Mayor Konstantine Anthony kicked it into overdrive and provided another reason many parents were leaving the progressive state to prevent their kids from being groomed.
The act in question was recorded and posted to Instagram by the Wisenuts Podcast and reshared by Libs of TikTok, which created a media firestorm for the mayor who also approved of the pornographic book Gender Queer at Burbank schools.
Anthony was filmed playfully bent over and spanked by drag performer Foxxy Roxywood in front of children at the Santa Clarita Valley Democrats’ Drag Queen Bingo campaign event on Saturday, Fox News reported, sparking heated discussions on social media by conservatives.
“Another day, another wildly inappropriate drag show…but wait! This one’s somehow worse,” Libs of TikTok wrote on Substack and on Twitter. “At a drag-themed fundraiser for a Democratic senate candidate in California, Burbank city mayor Konstantine Anthony got SPANKED by a drag queen. And kids were present.”
What made things worse for the mayor was his jovial response in the video and reaction from concerned parents.
The Burbank mayor responded, saying no children were present at the event, according to the Gateway Pundit and when called out on the original video’s comments section, Anthony’s response was flippant: “Jealous??”
Meanwhile, the discussions on social media became heated when the age restriction for the event came into question. The mayor claimed that the event was a “private 21+ event” and that “no children were present.”
“Actually, there weren’t any children at this private 21+ event. But of course, lying is totally on brand for you,” responded Anthony, who was an improv comedian and actor before winning a seat on the Burbank City Council in 2020 and becoming mayor in 2022.
“So why does the advertisement say 15+?” Libs of TikTok rebutted. “You lied and you were caught. You lost all credibility. Hope the spanking was worth it bro.”
Anthony’s video came during a contentious time as parents in the state were battling for their parental rights after the California State Assembly passed AB 957, titled the Transgender, Gender-Diverse and Intersex Youth Empowerment Act on Friday.
The legislation was led by Democrats Sen. Scott Wiener and Democratic California Assembly Member Lori Wilson, who introduced the legislation in February and placed a spotlight on affirming a child’s gender identity, regardless of if parents objected to their child’s decision to identify with a gender that does not align with their biological sex.
