(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Project Veritas, the conservative investigative organization that was founded by James O’Keefe, suspended all its operations on Wednesday after another round of layoffs.
It was revealed to the remaining employees in a Wednesday letter by HR director Jennifer Kiyak that the organization is putting all operations on pause amidst severe financial difficulties, Mediate reported.
Project Veritas started experiencing problems with money after the overwhelming majority of people stopped donating to the company because the leftists who infiltrated it fired O’Keefe for investigating Pfizer and its COVID-19 vaccine.
“In the interest of preserving the possible future existence of Project Veritas we need to put operations on pause and, as communicated since the Spring, another Reduction in Force (“RIF”) is necessary,” Kiyak said.
Mediate’s sources revealed that six staffers were laid off from the organization this week, among whom were all remaining journalists and one development associate. As of Sept. 20, 2023, there are only 11 people who are still employed by the company, including CEO Hannah Giles, according to one former employee.
The group can’t “carry the present staff count any longer,” Kiyak wrote in the letter, reminding the people who were fired of their nondisclosure agreements.
One of the journalists who was fired on Wednesday was Bobby Harr, a former lead investigative reporter with Project Veritas. However, Harr said that he was “confused” when Giles and Kiyak called him to inform him that he doesn’t work for the company anymore because he had already been let go from the organization last month.
Christian Hartsock, the former chief investigative journalist at the company who was laid off in August, shared the sentiment with Harr, adding that he was shocked that the organization itself was still running.
“I have no idea what ‘operations’ there are to suspend. Giles canned the entire production staff of a production company and the entire journalist leadership staff of a journalism company over a month ago,” he said.
