(Headline USA) Rapper Cardi B weighed into the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict this week, claiming she “might get killed” if she says the wrong thing about the crisis.
Cardi B, who backed President Joe Biden during the 2020 presidential election and Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., during the primary, argued “world leaders” need to “stop tripping about power and really think about whose really getting affected.”
“War, sanctions, invasions should be the last thing these leaders should worry about,” she said.
Wish these world leaders stop tripping about power and really think about whose really getting affected (citizens) besides the whole world is in a crisis.War,sanctions, invasions should be the last thing these leaders should worry about. https://t.co/25qemEtzF9

Cardi B clarified that she would like to talk more about the crisis but is afraid that, “if I don’t say the right things I might get killed.”

“But I’m really not on NATO‘s side, I’m not on Russia’s side, I’m actually on the citizens’ side because at the end of the day the world is having a crisis right now,” she continued.
Cardi B campaigned for Sanders during the Democratic primary elections but eventually threw her support behind Biden after he won the nomination.
Biden has come under sharp criticism for his handling of the Russia–Ukraine crisis, with Republicans accusing him of appearing “weak” and “incompetent.”
Cardi B did not call out Biden specifically, but she did mention rising “inflation” as a cause for concern, saying she believes it will be “really hard to get the economy back up.”
“So I’m just really annoyed by this and I really wish that all world leaders right now just really come with a logical conclusion, but whatever,” she said.
