(Tony Sifert, Headline USA) The Biden administration intends to filter at least 16,000 Afghan “refugees” through the National Conference Center in Loudoun County, Virginia, by September, according to a press release from the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office.
The Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Protective Service claim that the Afghans have been “carefully vetted as translators” and will stay in Virginia for an indefinite period until they are distributed “elsewhere in the United States,” the Sheriff’s Office reported.
When the Sheriff’s Office noted, however, that “only 30% of the refugees spoke English,” the DHS responded that most of the refugees were relatives of the translators.
“As I have a responsibility for the safety and security of Loudoun’s citizens, I want to ensure that our community is aware of the concerns we have raised and the expectations we have from our partners with the federal government,” Sheriff Michael Chapman said.
“Currently, those expectations have not been met, and we continue to have concerns as to whether the NCC is an appropriate location to support this mission,” he continued.
Of course, residents of Loudon County have no say in the matter — and the federal government has done nothing “to prepare area residents who may be impacted.”
The secretive move “reveals the truly astonishing extent of the administration’s high-handedness, dishonesty, carelessness, and recklessness in its resettlement of Afghan refugees in cities and towns all over the United States,” Islam expert Robert Spencer wrote at FrontPage Magazine.
“This will play out the way Leftist utopianism always does: the elites will feel good about themselves while ordinary people will have to pay the price,” Spencer continued.
“Importing as many immigrants as possible, from cultures as alien to traditional America as possible, is the ruling class’s top priority,” political philosopher Michael Anton wrote in a September 2021 post at American Greatness.
“Afghan refugees have the worst crime and public assistance rates of all refugee groups in Europe,” Anton continued. “We can be forgiven for assuming that our rulers are intentionally trying to hurt us.”
