Belligerent Biden Insists Dems Back ’24 Run, Despite Record-Low Approval

'Read the polls, Jack... '

(Headline USA) President Joe Biden insisted this week that Democrats want him to run for president again in 2024, despite multiple polls showing that the majority of the country wants a different candidate.

Asked on Tuesday about a poll showing more than 60% of Democrat voters don’t want Biden to run for reelection, Biden snapped.

“They want me to run,” he scowled. “Read the poll. Read the polls, Jack. You guys are all the same. That poll showed that 92% of Democrats, if I ran, would vote for me.”

The grumpy elderly president lumbered toward the offending reporters, getting up close and personal.

“A majority of Democrats say they don’t want you to run again in 2024,” another reporter interjected.

“But 92% said if I did, they’d vote for me,” Biden replied.

Biden seems to be referring to a recent poll that found 92% of Democrats would back him in a hypothetical rematch against former President Donald Trump in 2024.

However, just 18% of voters nationally want Biden to seek a second term. Among Democrats, only 35% want him to run again, while 41% said they would prefer someone new, according to a YouGov poll.

The White House continues to claim that Biden will run again, though many of his own advisers have admitted anonymously that they are concerned about his age.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre also cited the 92% number when asked about Biden’s poor approval ratings on Monday.

“You know, there’s going to be many polls,” she said.

“They are going to go up and they are going to go down. This is not the thing that we are solely focused on.”
