Belarusian Leader Suggests Putin Plans to Take Another Country

'The whole effort seems shambolic... '

(John RansomHeadline USA) Belarus dictator and Putin pal, Alexander Lukashenko, may have accidentally revealed the next victim on Russia’s list of former Soviet satellites they could invade.

Standing next to an accurate battle map that seems include attacks in southern Ukraine that spill over to Moldova, a sovereign country, Lukashenko is shown meeting with his security council, reported the Daily Mail.

In the meantime, Ukraine has said that Belarusian troops have invaded, eager for any spoils they can gather with their Russian ally at the expense of Ukraine, in a move reminiscent of the Soviet Union’s invasion of Poland, after Germany had virtually defeated the Poles in 1939.

“Belarusian troops entered the Chernihiv region,” tweeted the Ukraine Parliament. “The information was confirmed to the public by Vitaliy Kyrylov, spokesman for the North Territorial Defence Forces,” it added.

But just a day ago, Lukashenko said that the regime in Minsk will not participate in a Ukraine invasion, according to a statement released by Belarus press agency Belta, said Reuters.

US sources have said that it has “no confirmation that the Belarusians are entering Ukraine, we’ve seen no indication of that,” Politico reported.

In fact, the Russians may have bitten off more than they can chew, even without invading Moldova and with or without the help of Belarus.

A Russian convoy that was snaking its way to Kyiv was ambushed by Ukrainian forces and pounded by artillery and drone strikes, somewhat delaying the battle for the Ukrainian capital, according to the Telegraph.

“The armed forces of Ukraine stopped the enemy’s column… These are the results of their invasion and the work of our armed forces. Unfortunately, the private sector [houses] also received damage, but we will rebuild,” said Anatolii Fedoruk, the mayor of Bucha, regarding the ambush.

Kyiv is also being punished via heavy rocket attacks, which Reuters said rained down on the city in a mark that could show Russians have changed tactics to demoralize Ukraine, as the Russian armored convoy that was counted on to take Kyiv has stalled.

“Looking at the Russian operation so far, they’re having tremendous problems with logistics and communications. The whole effort seems shambolic,” tweeted Michael Kofman, an expert on the Russian military at Washington’s Wilson Center, according to Reuters.
