Raffensperger Plans to Subpoena Whistleblower Who Exposed Ga. Ballot Harvesting

'Ballots were trafficked and sold in a massive operation in each Swing State.. '

(Joshua Paladino, Headline USA) Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced on March 1 that he plans to subpoena the whistleblower who alleged that he was paid thousands to harvest ballots during the state’s 2020 general election and 2021 runoff election.

Raffensperger said he will request the subpoena as soon as the State Elections Board, which has the power to issue subpoenas in election-related cases, resolves some administrative changes, according to Just the News.

“Right now we’re waiting for the State Election Board to pick their new chair, so that we can ask for a subpoena,” he said.

The whistleblower brought the information to the election integrity group True the Vote last year.

Raffensperger’s comments helped to defend himself against criticism that he has not pushed the ballot harvesting investigation forward since he announced it in January.

Georgia’s election laws do not allow ballot harvesting, and Raffensperger said that as secretary of state he would not tolerate the fraudulent practice.

“We outlawed ballot harvesting as soon as I took office,” Raffensperger said.

“We think that’s a serious violation of state law,” he said. “The only person that should touch your ballot ever is you, the voter, or the election official when they receive your absentee ballot.”

Raffensperger promised prosecutions if he can verify the whistleblower’s claims.

“Was he paid? How much was he paid? And then who paid him?” he said. “And we’re going to follow the money, and we’re gonna get to the bottom of it. And we’re gonna prosecute this, if we find that there’s substance to it.”

Raffensperger has adopted a more serious attitude regarding election fraud as he faces a Republican primary challenge from Rep. Jody Hice.

Filmmaker and commentator Dinesh D’Souza will release a movie called “2,000 Mules” that contains new security footage exposing the ballot-harvesting and drop-box abuses in the 2020 general election.

D’Souza made the movie with research from Catherine Engelbrecht of True the Vote.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the movie in a press release.

“The movie exposes the lies of the Democrats, RINOs, and Fake News who say it was the ‘most secure election in history,'” Trump said. “It was, perhaps, the least secure in history.”

“The ballot box was stuffed, and stuffed like never before—and it’s all on video,” he continued. “Ballots were trafficked and sold in a massive operation in each Swing State.”
