Another Kamala Staffer Jumps Ship Amid White House Drama

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USAVice President Kamala Harris‘ administration continued to self-destruct in the midst of drama at the White House, this time with a top speechwriter departing to search for greener pastures.

Kate Childs Graham, Harris’ chief speechwriter, plans to leave the VP’s staff at the end of the month, reported Fox News.

Harris’ administration did its best to spin the news in a positive light.

“Kate is leaving the office, but not the family. The vice president is grateful for her service to the administration,” they said. “We are excited for her next step.”

Graham’s departure is the latest in a larger exodus.

Amid President Joe Biden‘s plummeting approval ratings, Harris’ communications director Ashley Etienne decided to “pursue other opportunities” last November. Symone Sanders, Harris’ senior adviser and her chief spokesperson, also departed in December.

According to Gil Duran, a former aide to Harris, the disarray is widespread, and it all emerges from one source: Kamala Harris.

“One of the things we’ve said in our little text groups among each other is what is the common denominator through all this, and it’s her,” Duran said.

Duran had harsh words for the VP, claiming that her pride causes her to mistreat her staff.

“First, swallow your pride and adapt to the job. You’re essentially a presidential staffer, not the star of the show. You signed up for this.”

He also indicated that — as expected — Harris has instigated a great deal of drama in the White House.

“The president needs support and stability, not tantrums and turmoil,” he said.

“With the Republican Party working full time to thwart him,” he said, “Biden can’t afford Machiavellian treachery from his own team.”

Further, Duran suggested that Harris’ failure to keep her staffers happy will contribute to larger political failures for the Democrats.

“Second, stop bleeding staff. It’s not like the old days, when we resigned in respectful silence. Today’s disgruntled aides run simulcasts in Politico and the New York Times.”
