(Tony Sifert, Headline USA) Geroge Soros-funded “legal arsonist” Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón has come under fire for attempting to sentence a 26-year-old transgender “woman” convicted of rape to two years in a juvenile detention facility, according to the LA Times.
“Hannah” Tubbs pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl in a Denny’s bathroom when Tubbs was a 16-year-old male.
Tubbs had escaped justice for this crime until DNA evidence collected after another assault in Idaho was matched to the LA County case.
Since the 2014 rape, Tubbs has been arrested for “battery, drug possession and probation violations in Idaho and Washington” and has been “convicted of assault with a deadly weapon in Kern County and faced a prior allegation of sexually assaulting a minor,” the Times reported.
Gascón, whose record in prosecuting rape as San Francisco DA is nothing short of disgraceful, is clearly more worried about Tubbs than about his victim.
Noting that a probation report “recommended Tubbs be sentenced to home confinement,” the embattled DA “expressed concern that Tubbs herself would be victimized if placed in an adult facility as a transgender woman,” according to the Times.
Gascón’s prosecutors therefore asked for Tubbs to be kept in a juvenile facility “for two years where she could receive treatment and therapy.”
“This clearly shows you the dangerous aspect of the blanket policies of George Gascón,” Jon Hatami, an LA prosecutor, told the Times. “This is not somebody who should appear in the juvenile system.”
Hatami is leading efforts to recall Soros’ “rogue prosecutor” and has received support from Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva.
Villaneuva appeared on Fox News to criticize Gascón’s mishandling of the murder of LAPD officer Fernando Arroyos, who was killed while off duty on Jan. 10.
“I have no confidence in what the local D.A., George Gascón, is going to do,” Villaneuva told America’s Newsroom. “He’s going to feel a lot of pressure because I understand the recall is now gaining steam . . . I think it’s karma.”
In the midst of a spike in railroad car theft, Gascón is also facing criticism from Union Pacific for a Special Directive that allows “misdemeanor cases to be declined or dismissed prior to arraignment.”
The railroad company “has seen a more than 160% increase in theft in LA County since December 2020, when District Attorney George Gascon issued a memo effectively decriminalizing trespassing, loitering and criminal threats,” according to the Wall Street Journal editorial board
