CNN’s Chris Cuomo Slammed for Saying He’s ‘Black On the Inside’

'Black isn't something you can just say you feel you are inside without having to deal with the racism that comes with being physically Black on the outside...'

CNN’s Chris Cuomo faced heavy criticism and accusations of cultural appropriation over the weekend for falsely claiming to be black.

During a hand-off with CNN’s Don Lemon on Friday evening, Cuomo began singing the theme to the 1970s TV show “Good Times.”

Lemon asked Cuomo if he knew about the show, which is about a black family living in a public housing project in Chicago.

Cuomo responded: “You know I’m black on the inside.”

Lemon, who presents externally as black, skipped the comment.

However, many other leftists picked up on it and blasted Cuomo.

One user joked that Cuomo and his older brother, the embattled New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, appear to be competing for “the s—tiest Cuomo” title.

Others demanded that CNN reprimand Cuomo and force its on-air personalities to undergo “sensitivity training.”
