6 Witnesses Can Confirm Garland Was Mastermind of Hunter Criminal Probe

'He is the supervisor of this investigation...'

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA) Attorney General Merrick Garland is facing troubling allegations of lying regarding the independence of U.S. Attorney David Weiss in the criminal investigation of Hunter Biden’s crimes, to which he pleaded guilty earlier this month.

Six individuals can confirm the allegations that Weiss did not have the authority to prosecute Hunter outside his home state of Delaware, explicitly contradicting previous sworn testimony from Garland stating the opposite, according to the Daily Caller.

The allegations were brought to light by IRS whistleblower Gary Shapely during his testimony before the House Ways and Means Committee. Just last week, the committee released approximately 400 pages of documents and testimonies, detailing allegations that the Biden administration attempted to interfere in the criminal investigation of Hunter Biden.

Shapely presented evidence suggesting that Garland may have provided false information to Congress and the American people regarding the independence of the DOJ and Weiss’s role. Shapely informed congressional leaders that Weiss tried to bring more severe charges against Hunter in jurisdictions outside Delaware but was blocked by U.S. Attorney Matthew Graves for the D.C. district.

The Daily Caller reported that the U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California, where Hunter owed taxes, declined to participate in the federal prosecution of the President’s son. Ultimately, Shapely testified that Weiss was “not the deciding official.”

These revelations are particularly shocking as Garland, during a conversation with Sen. Bill Hagerty, R-Tenn., in April 2022, stated that Weiss, appointed by former President Donald Trump, had complete independence. “He is the supervisor of this investigation,” Garland told the Tennessee senator.

According to the New York Post, Garland claimed he was committed to keep any political interference away from the probe.

“We put the investigation in the hands of a Trump appointee from the previous administration, who is the US attorney for the district of Delaware,” Garland added. “You have me as the attorney general, who is committed to the independence of the Justice Department from any influence from the White House in criminal matters.”

In March 2023, Garland, who currently faces threats of impeachment of his leftist weaponization of the DOJ, doubled down on his claims of independence. “The US attorney in Delaware has been advised that he has full authority to make those kind of referrals that you’re talking about or to bring cases in other jurisdictions if he feels it’s necessary. And I will assure that if he does, he will be able to do that,” Garland stated.

Garland has yet to address the damning revelations.
