(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) A woke San Antonio sheriff has announced that he plans to open an investigation into Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis‘ transporting 50 illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard despite the fact that no crime was committed, Yahoo! News reported.
Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said at a Monday press conference that an investigation into the matter would “clear the air for everyone,” before claiming that the illegal immigrants were “lured in under false pretenses.”
Some of the immigrants claimed to have been paid $200 to get on the plane bound for Martha’s Vineyard by a woman named “Perla”.
According to Salazar, “the names of some suspects involved who we believe are persons of interest at this point.” He said he won’t part with the names but that “everybody on this call knows who those names are already.”
Salazar, a rabid leftist, suggested that DeSantis’ actions were “a strictly predatory measure,” adding that somebody “hunted them down, preyed upon them… for the sake of political theater. I believe people need to be held accountable for it.”
Yet in a bizarre contradiction, he later claimed that even though no law was broken and no criminal activity was reported “what I can tell you what was done to these folks is wrong.”
Salazar’s claims come as leftists across the nation call for retaliation against those who deny that America is a nation of immigrants, demanding the Republican governors be punished for not being nice enough.
We are requesting that the Department of Justice open an investigation to hold DeSantis & others accountable for these inhumane acts. Not only is it morally criminal, there are legal implications around fraud, kidnapping, deprivation of liberty, and human trafficking.

“We are requesting that the Department of Justice open an investigation to hold DeSantis & others accountable for these inhumane acts. Not only is it morally criminal, there are legal implications around fraud, kidnapping, deprivation of liberty, and human trafficking,” Massachusetts state congressman Dylan Fernandes said.
Of course, now that the immigrants are gone, Martha’s Vineyard residents have noted just how much fun they had and how enriched their lives were by the presence of the refugees, per a Breitbart report.
“The year-round community is very strong because you are kind of isolated here — whether it’s the ferry or the bad weather, you’re stuck here,” one resident told CNN.
“We’re used to helping each other. We’re used to dealing with people in need and we’re super happy — like they enriched us. We’re happy to help them on their journey.”
