Winsome Sears Gavels Va. Senate to Order w/ High-Heeled Shoe, Frees Students From Masking

'One shoe can change your life. Just ask Cinderella... '

(Tony Sifert, Headline USA) Virginia Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears used one of her high-heeled shoes to call the Virginia Senate to order “after an unknown prankster hid her gavel,” according to Washington Post reporter Laura Vozzella.

“@WinsomeSears gaveled Virginia Senate to order with high-heeled patent leather pump,” Vozzella wrote in a Tweet that Sears retweeted.

“One shoe can change your life,” Sears reportedly quipped. “Just ask Cinderella.”

The resourceful Sears, who was described by race huckster Michael Eric Dyson as “a black face speaking in behalf of a white supremacist legacy,” has been a thorn in the side of Democrats since she was sworn into office on Jan. 15, 2022.

Sears, the first black woman elected to statewide office in Virginia, has used her position to attack what she perceives as a lack of leadership from the White House.

“There is no leadership [from the White House],” Sears told Fox News host Maria Bartiromo in a interview Sunday. “They follow the polls and they don’t have a righteous bone in their body.”

“That’s not going to work for anyone because the leader has to lead,” she continued. “They have to show the right way, the righteous way.”

On Monday, Sears signed her first Senate bill of the legislative session.

Senate Bill 739 would allow students and parents to opt-out of masking requirements in Virginia public schools without having to “provide a reason or any certification of the child’s health.”

“The first Senate bill I’ve signed this session: it affirms parental rights by allowing them to opt-out of school mask mandates for their child. SB739 is now headed to the Governor for his action,” Sears tweeted.
