White House Insurrectionist Spox Sputters over Her Election-Denying Past

'We're going to focus on what's happening today... '

(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was left stammering Tuesday trying to explain why she shouldn’t be considered one of the “threats to democracy” that her boss has been demonizing in a series of spiteful speeches, given her election-denying past.

President Joe Biden has recklessly smeared MAGA Republicans as enemies of the Republic who “do not respect the Constitution.”

“They do not believe in the rule of law. They do not recognize the will of the people,” Biden crowed.

“They refuse to accept the results of a free election.”

That presented an awkward backdrop when Jean-Pierre was pressed about her own refusals “to accept the results of a free election,” leaving her with excuses, fabrications and fables in defense.

In response to all the “MAGA attention” of late, Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked Jean-Pierre to explain her own election-denying, insurrectionist history.

“If we’re all in agreement that it’s incorrect to say the 2020 election was stolen, what about the 2016 election?” Doocy asked.

“Look, I’m not going to go back to where we were or what happened in 2016,” Jean-Pierre dodged, and for good reason.

“You tweeted in 2016 that Trump stole an election. You tweeted Brian Kemp stole an election,” Doocy said.

“If denying election results is extreme now, why wasn’t it then?”

That was totally different, Jean-Pierre said, adding that Doocy’s comparison, which seemed straightforward and reasonable, “is just ridiculous.”

“I was talking specifically at that time about what was happening with voting rights, what was in danger of voting rights,” the election-denier explained. “That’s what I was speaking to at the time.”

Jean-Pierre noted that she has since acknowledged that the elections were legitimate, when it became clear that her insurrectionist ways might threaten her new job and swank salary.

After repeating myriad false J6 narratives, Jean-Pierre shoved her election-denying past back into the closet.

“We’re going to focus on what’s happening today,” she said.

“This inflection point that the president pointed out very clearly, very decisively in a few speeches about what the country needs to do at this time to bring the country together.”
