(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) The same globalist authoritarians who want to track everyone’s individual carbon footprints and reduce the world’s population to eating bugs are now exploring ways of using artificial intelligence to preemptively censor alleged disinformation and misinformation before an offending thought or opinion even makes its way into a social media post.
The World Economic Forum’s official website recently published a report that warned of the evils lurking online with “an ever-growing list of abuses, such as child abuse, extremism, disinformation, hate speech and fraud; and increasingly advanced actors misusing platforms in unique ways.”
Similar to the Biden administration’s resurrected Ministry of Truth, the WEF piggybacks on those abuses to cast a wide net over what and who should be treated as online offenders. Anyone caught disagreeing with the regime’s expressed woke, leftist narrative is deemed as promoting disinformation and swiftly censored, suppressed or punished.
While artificial intelligence offers speed and massive scale for censoring and suppressing content, it lacks context; human censors offer context but are slow, the WEF report argued.
Because human censors and existing algorithms are allowing too much dissenting speech — anything deemed “misinformation — to make it through their gatekeeping, the WEF wants to merge human intelligence and AI to create “trust and safety teams” that “can stop threats rising online before they reach users.”
“By uniquely combining the power of innovative technology, off-platform intelligence collection and the prowess of subject-matter experts who understand how threat actors operate, scaled detection of online abuse can reach near-perfect precision,” the WEF report explained.
Fortunately for the WEF, “off-platform intelligence collection” internet agents are ready to deploy when needed, courtesy of the United Nations.
At the height of the COVID pandemic, to police any dissent from a politically-driven medical tyranny of lockdowns, forced masking and mandatory vaccine passports, the UN activated an army of “information warriors” to push the accepted COVID narrative.
“So far we’ve recruited 110,000 thousand information volunteers,” UN communications director Melissa Fleming crowed on an October 2020 WEF podcast called “Seeking a Cure for the Infodemic.”
“We equip these information volunteers with the kind of knowledge about how misinformation spreads and ask them to serve as kind of digital first responders in those spaces where misinformation travels,” Fleming said.
Those types of “information warrior” squadrons and teams of “digital first responders” mesh perfectly with the WEF vision of AI “preemptive censorship.”
“Supplementing this smarter automated detection with human expertise to review edge cases and identify false positives and negatives and then feeding those findings back into training sets will allow us to create AI with human intelligence baked in,” the WEF boasted.
