(Joshua Paladino, Headline USA) USA Today chose a trans/man, Admiral Rachel Levine, as one of 2022’s Women of the Year, along with Vice President Kamala Harris, Melinda Gates, and others.
President Joe Biden appointed Levine, an obese man, as Assistant Secretary for Health in the Department of Health and Human Services.
Before joining the Biden administration, Levine was Pennsylvania’s Secretary of Health.
Last year, the Pentagon promoted Levine, making him the first openly transgender four-star officer in the military.
After the promotion, HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra lauded Levine’s career.
“This is a proud moment for us at HHS,” he said. “Admiral Levine—a highly accomplished pediatrician who helps drive our agency’s agenda to boost health access and equity and to strengthen behavioral health—is a cherished and critical partner in our work to build a healthier America.”
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Levine advised Americans to keep their elderly relatives in nursing homes, which the Pennsylvania government then filled with infected patients who spread the disease to otherwise healthy residents.
Former Trump administration official Sean Parnell pointed this out after White House Domestic Policy Advisor Susan Rice praised Levine for her pandemic leadership.
During the pandemic, Rachel Levine evacuated her own mother from a nursing home all while sending thousands of PA seniors to their deaths by forcing them to languish there.

Pennsylvania joined Michigan, New York, and New Jersey in sending nursing home patients to their deaths.
USA Today named 11 other females Women of the Year, including Olympian Simone Biles, professor Heather Cox Richardson, NIH vaccine researcher Kizzmekia Corbett, and CEO Rosalind Brewer.
The Women of the Year could fit along a color pastel, with selections from Europeans, Africans, Asians, Hispanics, and Natives.
