(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Donald Trump vowed to institute the death penalty for human traffickers after seeing the anti-trafficking film “Sound of Freedom” if he becomes president again.
Trump held the screening in Bedminster, N.J., and spoke with filmmaker Eduardo Verástegui and starring actor Jim Caviezel, who played federal agent Tim Ballard, the man who left his job to rescue children who are being trafficked, the Post Millennial reported.
“When I’m back in the White House, I will immediately end the Biden border nightmare that traffickers are using to exploit vulnerable women and children,” Trump said in a Friday video.
“We will fully secure the border. I will wage war on the cartels just as I destroyed the ISIS caliphate, 100% gone, 100% destroyed. They’ll come back now because we have a weak administration.”
He then continued explaining what he is going to do to stop the inhumane behavior.
“I will use Title 42 to end the child trafficking crisis by returning all trafficked children to their families in their home countries and without delay,” he continued.
“I will urge Congress to ensure that anyone caught trafficking children across our border receives the death penalty immediately and that includes also for women, because women, as you know, are number one in trafficking. Children are actually number two.”
Unlike Joe Biden, whose open border policies allowed drug cartels and child traffickers to prosper, Trump was vigilant against these crimes when he was president, promising that he will continue those efforts if he secures a win in the 2024 presidential race.
“In one of my first acts in office, I signed an executive order targeting transnational criminal organizations that traffic and exploit innocent people,” he said.
“I signed the Frederick Douglass Trafficking Victims Prevention and Protection Reauthorization Act, authorizing $430 million to fight sex and labor trafficking.”
Meanwhile, Ballard, who, in addition to being the inspiration for the movie “Sound of Freedom,” was previously appointed by Trump to a federal advisory panel on human trafficking, started a new anti-human trafficking venture — the Spear Fund — the Daily Wire reported.
