(Headline USA) The co-hosts of “The View” called for the Justice Department to investigate Fox News host Tucker Carlson and former Democrat presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard, whom they smeared as “Russian propagandists.”
“I think DOJ, in the same way that is setting up a task force to investigate [Russian] oligarchs, should look into people who are Russian propagandists and shilling for Putin,” Ana Navarro said. “If you are a foreign asset to a dictator it should be investigated.”
Several hosts expressed agreement with Navarro.
RUSSIA USING TUCKER CARLSON IN PROPAGANDA? After a leaked Kremlin war memo reportedly instructed Russian state media to play Tucker Carlson clips and Tulsi Gabbard is being accused of spreading Russian false flag propaganda, #TheView panel reacts. https://t.co/cVclFZQmjA pic.twitter.com/yzbQBrpmbT

Carlson has argued Americans should be more concerned about domestic issues than Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, and Gabbard argued Ukraine is making chemical and biological weapons in alleged labs.
“I even hate that we’re discussing it. I think to myself, who is this woman? She’s no longer in Congress … the fact that we’re giving her oxygen is what makes her relevant,” Navarro said of Gabbard.
“On the other hand, how do you not call out something that is repeating false Russian propaganda and has been brought down?”
Whoopi Goldberg chimed in, saying, “They used to arrest people for doing stuff like this.”
Carlson responded to “The View’s” comments, mocking the hosts for their anti-democratic argument.
“So we are at war with Russia! We must send you to the gulag because freedom!” he mocked.
“Because a democracy, the one thing democracy doesn’t have patience for is dissenting views from its own citizens, particularly citizens who sincerely hope and pray for the best for their own country,” Carlson said.
