TDS-Afflicted Jamie Raskin Frets over Possible Trump Speakership

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Rabid leftist congressman Jamie Raskin, D-Mass., panicked about the possibility of a Donald Trump speakership in the House of Representatives, MSN reported.

Raskin, who has been struck by a terrible case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, went into full panic mode at the very thought of Trump in his beloved House of Representatives in a recent appearance on CBS’s Face the Nation.

Host Margaret Brennan did not even bring up the former president throughout the interview, yet Raskin continually brought things back to Trump.

When asked what challenges lie ahead for Democrats, Raskin could only mutter about the former president.

“They might just vote for Trump, when they, you know, take the roll call for speaker,” Raskin said, alluding to House Republicans.

“So we know that the hard right Freedom Caucus people are in search of another candidate and one potential candidate whose name has been floated is Donald Trump himself, because the Speaker of the House does not have to be a member of the House. And they are talking about putting Trump right there.”

Raskin continued his tirade, following in President Joe Biden’s footsteps by pitting the Republican party against American democracy.

“If Trump decided he wanted to do it, it would pose a profound problem for their party because they refuse to do the right thing. Early on – I mean, today, it seems like the spell has been broken. It’s begun to dissolve. We don’t have Republicans around the country claiming that they really won when it’s been certified that they lost their elections.”

After failing to secure a Senate majority in a midterm that was projected to be a red wave, and clinging to the chance of regaining control of the House, many Republicans are demanding an internal leadership change for both House and Senate Republicans, regardless of how final vote tallies fall for House majority control.

“Is it really Trump’s party? Or does it stand for something else?” Raskin mused, concluding with great praise for select RINOs who condemned Trump for being too mean.

Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger are going to force that question, they’re going to force the Republicans to choose.”
