Sec. of State Blinken, Who Pushed Laptop ‘Disinfo’ Claim, Emailed Hunter Frequently

'I know you are impossibly busy, but would like to get your advice on a couple of things... '

(Headline USA) Emails from Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop reveal the embattled son communicated frequently with then-deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who eventually helped discredit reports about Hunter’s laptop as “Russian disinformation.”

Blinken, now Secretary of State, met with and emailed Hunter regularly, including during the time period in which Hunter sat on Ukrainian energy company Burisma’s board, according to Fox News.

In an email sent on May 22, 2015, for example, Hunter tried to schedule a meeting with Blinken so he could get Blinken’s “advice” on some things.

“Have a few minutes next week to grab a cup of coffee?” Hunter asked. “I know you are impossibly busy, but would like to get your advice on a couple of things.”

“Absolutely,” Blinken replied. “I’m just about to land in Tokyo en route back DC from Burma. I’ll be in office from Tuesday on. Copying Linda in my office to find a good time. Look forward to seeing you. Tony.”

Hunter then forwarded Blinken’s response to Devon Archer, his former business partner and fellow Burisma board member.

“Roger,” Archer replied.

After the logistics of the meeting were set, Hunter sent the information to Archer, saying “FYI.”

An email confirmation from the State Department confirms the meeting: “12:00-1:30pm- Lunch with Tony Blinken (State Department),” the email read. “Enter at main entrance (‘Diplomatic Entrance’), 22nd & C St, NW.  Proceed to receptionist area where Kenny Matthews will be waiting to escort you to Tony’s office.”

Blinken’s relationship with Hunter has come under increased scrutiny after former CIA Deputy Director Michael Morrell revealed to House Republicans last week that Blinken played an instrumental role in organizing the infamous letter, signed by dozens of former intelligence officials, dismissing the Hunter Biden laptop story as “Russian disinformation.”

Morrell said the officials would not have thought of writing or signing the letter if Blinken had not suggested it to them, according to reports.
