Poll: Liz Cheney Run Would Harm Biden More than Trump

'I will be doing whatever it takes to keep Donald Trump out of the Oval Office... '

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) A new poll indicates that if lame-duck Rep. Liz Cheney, RINO-Wyo., were to attempt a bid for the presidency in 2024, she would not only harm President Joe Biden‘s chances at reelection, but would actually help her sworn enemy, Donald Trump.

The survey of over 1,500 probable voters indicated that if Biden and Trump were to face off once more, Biden would hold a slight edge at 46% to 42% at this moment in time. But if Cheney were to run as a third party candidate, Biden’s support would drop to a mere 32%, whereas Trump’s would only fall to approximately 40%, Yahoo! News reported.

In such a scenario, Cheney would be projected to receive a mere 11% of the national popular vote.

Of course, there is no guarantee that Cheney–if she were to run–would run as an independent. There’s also some chance the former congresswoman could challenge Trump in the Republican primaries.

Since her defeat in the Wyoming primary earlier this month by nearly 40 percentage points, the vitriolic never-Trumper has fueld speculation about a potential 2024 run.

When asked by Today show host Savannah Guthrie whether or not she was interested in running for president, the lame-duck congresswoman said she would “make a decision in the coming months.”

“I will be doing whatever it takes to keep Donald Trump out of the Oval Office,” she added.

In order to support her desperate attempt at the White House, Cheney announced that she would be starting an organization dedicated entirely to stopping former President Trump from running for and winning the presidency in 2024.

“In coming weeks, Liz will be launching an organization to educate the American people about the ongoing threat to our Republic, and to mobilize a unified effort to oppose any Donald Trump campaign for president,” Cheney spokesperson Jeremy Adler said.
