Pelosi Losing Grip as More House Dems Rush To Retire

'We are not afraid of this data -- We’re not trying to hide this... '

House Speaker and theatrical multiculturalist Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., may be losing grip on the power that she has accumulated over the past several decades as many key Democrats look to retirement, the Conservative Brief reported.

Stalwart California Democrat Rep. Alan Lowenthal is the latest to give up his seat.

Lowenthal announced that he will retire in 2022, joining 20 other House Democrats who have declared that they will not run in the midterms, which already looked bleak for the Democrats.

According to a melodramatic press release from Lowenthal’s office, “…just as every journey has a beginning, so too does it have an end. I am announcing today that I will not be running for reelection to Congress in 2022.”

Lowenthal also emphasized the need to let others make laws, so long as they are also Democrats.

“It is time to pass the baton. It is time to rest and surround myself with the benefits of a life well-lived and earned honorably in the service of my fellow citizens,” he wrote before pretending that he has engaged with an enemy in combat.

“While I am stepping aside from the front lines of that struggle, I will continue to be at your side, fighting for what is right, for what is just, and for what makes us better as both a people and a nation,” he concluded. “It has been a distinct honor and a true privilege to serve you.”

Political pundits seem to agree that Democrats will likely lose their weak majority in the House.

Yet the question remains: How bad will it be for them?

Tim Persico, executive director of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, revealed data suggesting that several House Democrats are at risk of losing their seats to Republican challengers, which would turn the lower chamber over to Republicans.

“We are not afraid of this data … We’re not trying to hide this,” Persico boldly stated. “If [Democrats] use it, we’re going to hold the House. That’s what this data tells us, but we gotta get in action.”
