Soros-Backed Prosecutor Loses Race in Loudoun County, Va.

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Republican Bob Anderson, the former Commonwealth’s Attorney for Loudon County, won the race to reclaim his old seat against George Soros-funded incumbent Buta Biberaj by just over 1,000 votes on Tuesday.

As of 8 p.m. Wednesday, Anderson led the race with 66,835 votes versus Biberaj’s 65,814.

Anderson did not officially declare the win, though he made a confident assertion of his victory Wednesday morning via Twitter.

“There is no current path to victory for Buta Biberaj and we look forward to waiting for the due process to run course,” he said.

“I am confident the results will remain the same, and look forward to serving as your next Commonwealth’s Attorney,” he added.

Biberaj, at press time, had yet to concede the victory to her opponent.

“Our race is too-close-to-call, with several precincts left to count, as well as more mail in votes and provisional ballots,” Biberaj said. “I look forward to the Loudoun County election canvass starting tomorrow to ensure that every vote is counted in this close race.”

Anderson, who served as the county’s top prosecutor  from 1996 to 2003, opted to run for again to fight what he called “chaos” put in place during Biberaj’s tenure, pointing to the high turnover and apparent lack of leadership in the position.

Loudoun, which often ranks as the most affluent county in the entire U.S., has made national news for its woke policies, particularly related to public education.

Its school superintendent was fired, and later indicted, for efforts to cover up the rapes of female students by a transgender student at two separate schools. However, that accountability came only after state intervention following Biberaj’s refusal to act.

The county also regularly sought to suppress outraged parents attempting to speak at school board meetings and force teachers to comply with woke pronoun policies.

In other cases involving violent criminal activity, Biberaj was likewise booted after judges interceded due to her excessive leniency.

Those critical of Biberaj’s work claimed her “soft on crime” approach caused more problems than it solved—a typical trait of Soros’s legal lackeys.

Throughout her tenure, Biberaj refused to prosecute misdemeanor crimes. These crimes included hit-and-run, evading arrest, reckless driving, trespassing and failure to appear in court.

Soros spent almost $700,000 to install Biberaj in the previous election, although she won by a razor-thin margin of 0.2%.

Down Bad: DeSantis’ Biggest Donor Considers Flipping to Trump

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) The presidential campaign of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis could face a major financial setback as its biggest backer could jump ship and back a different candidate.

Real estate mogul Robert Bigelow, identified as DeSantis’ primary financial supporter, is now contemplating shifting his allegiance to GOP frontrunner Donald Trump.

“I’ve got to look at who would probably be the strongest commander, with the most experience . . . And that’s only one guy,” Bigelow said in an interview with the Financial Times.

According to the outlet, Bigelow had contributed a staggering $20 million to boost the DeSantis campaign, marking the largest single donation to any presidential candidate ahead of the 2024 election.

Bigelow’s sentiments tilted towards Trump as he emphasized, “Who would you want as a commander? I’d want somebody that would be a hell of an ass kicker if he needed to be,” he added. “On the face of it, you lean toward Trump.”

In a striking comparison, he described Trump as a “bull” and DeSantis as “dinner.”

The real estate tycoon attributed his new political stance to the recent Hamas terrorist attack against Israel, asserting the need of a “streetwise” leader.

“I think Trump is too strong,” Bigelow continued. “I think Trump has the momentum, the inertia, to beat him.”

The sharp criticisms come at a time when DeSantis faces a significant challenge in catching up to Trump’s lead in multiple polls. An Oct. 7 poll by the University of North Florida shows a substantial 39-point gap between DeSantis and Trump among GOP voters in the governor’s home state.

Dr. Michael Binder, the polling faculty director and political scientist, warned that the numbers are not good for DeSantis’ national campaign. “Despite historically high approval in the polls, Governor DeSantis losing steam in his home state doesn’t bode well for his national campaign,” he said. “Even if you wipe out the rest of the competition in a head-to-head, Trump leads DeSantis by 20 points.”

New Report Unveils Serious Flaws in Automatic Voter Registration

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) A new report has cast serious doubt on the efficacy of America’s latest automatic voter registration software, according to the Daily Caller News Foundation.

The software, which is predominantly used in Democrat-controlled states, may be at risk of undermining election integrity through glitches and other irregularities, said the report’s publisher, the Committee to Unleash Prosperity.

Among the concerns highlighted by the report were that it caused voters to be counted twice, and enabled ineligible foreigners to vote.

The report called the unleashing of “automatic voter registration software” a silent “revolution” in American life, noting that it undermined traditional voting qualifications, like citizenship, by making voter rolls out of “welfare recipients and other social service beneficiaries.”

Voting illegally has been made easier and easier in recent years, becoming so predominant that even Pew polling services recognized the widespread problem.

“Pew found that approximately 24 million—one of every eight—voter registrations in the United States were no longer valid or are significantly inaccurate,” the report said. “About 2.8 million people were registered in more than one state, and 1.8 million registered voters are dead.”

Things are especially bad in America’s far-left states.

The report found that California election officials, for instance, had automatically registered at least 1,500 noncitizens to vote and reportedly did not even know about the mistake.

The automatic system also created nearly 84,000 duplicate registrations in its first five months.

The state of Illinois had similar “problems,” giving voting rights to 545 noncitizens.

“The evidence is clear that automatic voter registration does not increase turnout of legal voters,” the report ultimately concluded.

Rather, it expands “the opportunity for voter fraud” and leads to more “illegal voting.” This, in turn, constitutes, “an assault on democracy” by “effectively disenfranchis[ing] legal voters.”

The software is currently used by 23 states and Washington, D.C.

States ostensibly have turned to such software under the guise that they are being “democratic” by “modernizing” the process and making it more inclusive.

Yet, some question whether the Democrats overseeing the elections may, in fact, be acting in bad faith to actively enfranchise those who do not statutorily have the right to vote in order to derive some political benefit for themselves.

NFL Shows Double-Standard in Israel Censorship, Ukraine Virtue-Signaling

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) The Left’s inability to come to grips with the Israel–Hamas conflict was once more on display last Sunday during an NFL game.

Attending a Philadelphia Eagles game, George Norcross, a New Jersey businessman and Democrat Party organizer, was escorted out of the stadium after he flew a half American–half Israeli flag from his private box seats, Newsweek reported.

Security approached Norcross, apparently trying to remove the flag, but he resisted and was eventually escorted out, after which the flag was taken down.

Norcross—the executive chairman of the insurance brokerage firm Conner, Strong & Buckelew—released a statement shortly thereafter complaining about the action taken by stadium security.

“Yesterday, I was forcibly removed and assaulted by the non-police security staff of Lincoln Financial Field and the Eagles/NFL for refusing to remove a 3- by 5-foot American and Israeli flag I’d hung off the box I was sitting in,” he wrote, noting that his loyalty as an Eagles fan has not be rewarded.

“As a longtime passionate fan and season ticket holder, I have watched the Eagles/NFL make clear and strong statements on numerous important civil justice issues and ethnic and world conflicts, including supporting the people of Ukraine, so as a strong supporter of Israel—a country which was viciously attacked by the terrorist group Hamas less than a month ago—I thought it was an important statement to make,” he said in the statement.

Norcross said he was considering filing a lawsuit against the Eagles, as well as the NFL and the security company.

“I urge other supporters of Israel to make their feelings known to the team and the NFL, just as they have to universities like Penn and Harvard,” he said, adding that “Hamas murdered innocent Israeli civilians, raped woman and butchered children, and continues to hold hostages.”

According to the Philadelphia Eagles, however, Norcross’s signage did indeed violate the policy of the stadium.

“Our stadium policies expressly prohibit signage containing any kind of non-game messaging to be hung from a stadium suite,” the team said in a statement.

They also noted that Norcross “became physically and verbally abusive,” and received the same punishment “as anyone else would be after engaging in abusive behavior in violation of stadium policy.”

Video posted online of the incident appeared to show Norcross gesticulating in an animated but not violent manner while being escorted out.

Were Norcross, who is listed as one of the Garden State’s wealthiest individuals and most powerful men, to throw his support to the nearby New York Jets instead, he might fare better in his efforts at in-stadium virtue-signaling.

The Jets notably added a Ukrainian flag decal to their helmets last season to highlight the relief efforts for the war-torn country, which has receieved more than $200 billion in aid courtesy of U.S. taxpayers since Russia’s February 2022 invasion.

However, the unfortunate trade-off would be that the Jets—who lost their star quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, to a season-ending Achilles injury in the first drive of the season—have only won a single championship, 1968’s Super Bowl III. They have not won a division championship since 2002.

NY Judge’s Wife Accused of Disturbing Anti-Trump Social Media Posts

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) The wife of Manhattan Judge Arthur Engoron, who is presiding over the civil trial against the Trump Organization, has been accused of making inflammatory anti-Trump remarks on social media.

Dawn Marie Engoron’s alleged posts emerged following her husband’s imposition of a gag order on former President Donald Trump, effectively preventing him from discussing any individuals involved in the case.

The revelation was brought to light by political activist and journalist Laura Loomer, who asserted that the findings shed light on a clear leftist bias. As reported by the Post Millennial, Loomer’s statement on social media gained traction, where she remarked, “This is incredible bias. Less than 24 hours ago she posted tweets in which she said ‘FUCK TRUMP’.”

According to Loomer, Dawn posted a photo of Trump wearing a prison orange jumpsuit and attacked Loomer herself in the disturbing posts. Trump’s attorney Alina Habba also reportedly became the subject of Dawn’s criticism.

Further scrutiny of Dawn’s social media activity revealed that she allegedly engaged and shared memes related to the trial, including the orange jump suit photo, which the Millennial reported was AI-generated. Another post portrayed an elderly individual painting “FUCK YOU TRUMP” on a brick wall.

Loomer expressed her concerns over the partisan nature of the posts in a subsequent statement, highlighting, “This is one of the most damning screenshots I have archived from the Twitter account of Dawn Marie Engoron,” Loomer said, referring to a post.

Loomer referred to a specific post where Engoron purportedly commented, “Pleading the 5th won’t save Trump family members in Judge Engoron’s courtroom.”

Denouncing the findings, Loomer underscored, “She would know I guess… since her husband is Judge Engoron. This appears to be an admission by the Judge’s wife that Judge Engoron has already decided how this trial will go. There needs to be a MISTRIAL.”

Loomer’s findings emerge amid the ongoing civil trial led by New York Attorney General Letitia James against Trump and his sons. James has accused Trump of inflating his financial standing to secure favorable loans and other financial perks.

WATCH: Marjorie Taylor Greene Hammers GOP Colleagues for Acting Like Democrats

(Kevin Whiteley, Headline USA) Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., slammed weak-willed congressional colleagues last week in a nearly 20-minute monologue hammering the GOP caucus for its lack of cohesion.

Greene noted the legislative branch’s current “17% approval rating,” saying her GOP colleagues “never hold the line,” “never fight back” and “never hold anyone accountable.”

By contrast, the Georgia lawmaker said, “Democrats stick together. They band together. And they never back down.”

Greene’s rant was rooted in recent efforts by herself and fellow GOP lawmakers to censure leftist Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., for her anti-Semitic behavior and actions related to the Israel–Hamas conflict.

The move ultimately failed after 23 Republicans sided with Democrats to table the resolution to censure Tlaib—a 222–186 tally (13 Republicans did not vote).

Tlaib was subsequently censured in a Tuesday-evening effort (234–188–4), according to ZeroHedge.

Prior to that vote, however, Greene vented her frustration regarding the 23 GOP defectors in an interview with the Daily Caller published Tuesday morning.

“I ran for Congress because I was one of those people who was constantly disappointed and disgusted with Republicans in Congress—and I find myself in the same position, and I am a Republican member of Congress,” she said.

“We had 23 Republicans that voted with the Democrats to table my resolution because they claimed they were protecting what she [Tlaib] did to leave freedom of speech, which is jaw-dropping to me because I wasn’t silencing her freedom of speech,” Greene continued. “I wanted her censured for her speech.”

Greene, herself, was stripped of her committees in February 2021, in what was, at the time, an unprecedented move by then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., who claimed she was responsible for spreading hateful and violent conspiracy theories. Joining Democrats in support of that resolution were 11 Republicans, for a vote of 230-199.

Greene and her supporters at the time pointed to the double-standard related to Squad members like Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., who had been criticized previously for promoting anti-Semitic tropes.

Biden White House Threatens to Veto FISA Reform Bill Before Even Reading It

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Four pro-privacy legislators introduced bipartisan legislation on Tuesday that would require federal agencies to obtain warrants before using Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act to spy on Americans.

The bill was introduced by Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., Rep. Warren Davidson, R-Ohio, and Rep. Zoe Lofgren, D-Calif., who all touted the hard work they put in legislation designed to curb surveillance abuses while giving federal agencies the necessary tools to track foreign terrorists.

“The FISA Court and the Director of National Intelligence have confirmed that our government conducted warrantless surveillance of millions of Americans’ private communications,” Lee said. “It is imperative that Congress enact real reforms to protect our civil liberties, including warrant requirements and statutory penalties for privacy violations, in exchange for reauthorizing Section 702.”

However, the Biden administration has dismissed the legislation before reading it, according to Politico. An unnamed White House official reportedly told Politico that he and his White House colleagues “hadn’t even read the bill yet.”

Politico expressed concern that the Biden administration would automatically dismiss a bill that was designed to address national security concerns by including carve-outs for “defensive cybersecurity queries, emergencies, and consent.”

Sen. Lee blasted the Biden administration for its lack of concern for civil liberties.

“Joe Biden wants to veto our bipartisan government surveillance reform bill, because apparently illegal spying on American citizens is very important to his administration,” he said. “And he hasn’t even read the bill yet!”

Unless reauthorized by Congress, Section 702 will expire at the end of the year. House legislators are seeking to reform the section by requiring warrants to spy on Americans, but national security critics argue that doing so would “degrade” the National Security Agency’s ability to track groups like Hamas—even though Section 702 failed to stop the Oct. 7 Hamas attack.

The FISA authorization has come close to sunsetting before—notably in 2020—when lawmakers up for re-election suddenly began upping their rhetoric against government surveillance and FBI corruption.

However, it was re-authorized at the last minute with the caveat that major reforms would be a top priority. Since then, it has come to light that the FBI continued to conduct unlawful FISA queries—which, as of June, were estimated to number around 278,000.

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley said in a recent blog post that if Congress again renews Section 702  without major changes, then “we have become a nation of chumps.”

FISA reform has been one of the rare issues of bipartisan agreement in Congress. In the House Judiciary Committee, both chairman Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and ranking member Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., agree in principle that the FBI should need a warrant to search Americans’ data under FISA.

Feds Bust Alleged Korean Prostitution Network That Catered to U.S. Power Brokers

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) The Justice Department announced Wednesday the arrest of three people who allegedly ran an interstate sex-trafficking network, which catered to elected officials, military officers and other high-powered officials.

According to the DOJ, the three defendants—Han Lee and Junmyung Lee of Massachusetts, and James Lee of California— operated an interstate prostitution network with multiple brothels in Cambridge and Watertown, Mass., as well as in Fairfax and Tysons, Va.

Han, a female, was born in Korea and came to the U.S. in 2014 on a visitor’s visa on which she overstayed, while Junmyung was born in Korea and came to the U.S. in 2018 on a student visa to study at the Computer Systems Institute in Boston. Documents don’t indicate where James is from.

The defendants allegedly established the infrastructure for brothels in multiple states which they used to persuade, induce and entice women—primarily Asian women—to travel to Massachusetts and Virginia to engage in prostitution, according to the DOJ.

“Specifically, the defendants allegedly rented high-end apartment complexes as brothel locations, which they furnished and regularly maintained. The monthly rent for the brothel locations were as high as $3,664,” the DOJ said in a press release.

Over the course of the investigation, the DOJ said it identified a wide array of buyers, including politicians, high tech and pharmaceutical executives, doctors, military officers, government contractors that possess security clearances, professors, lawyers, scientists and accountants.

None of those high-powered officials were named.

The DOJ said its investigation is ongoing, and that investigators have interviewed at least 20 sex buyers so far in its multiyear probe.

Investigators surely know the identities of the network’s clients, as they were required to undergo thorough background checks, according to the DOJ’s charging documents.

“Typically, first-time clients are required to complete a form on the websites,” said Homeland Security investigator Zachary Mitlisky in an affidavit. “For www.bostontopten10.com, the form includes the clients having to provide their names, email address, phone number, employer, and reference if they have one.”

The defendants face up to 20 years in prison, three years of supervised release and a fine of up to $250,000 for the charge of conspiracy to coerce and entice to travel to engage in illegal sexual activity.

German Kindergarten Backs Off Plans to Cancel Anne Frank after Backlash

(Karen Freeman, Headline USA) A kindergarten in the east German city of Tangerhütte named in honor of Holocaust victim Anne Frank said it was no longer debating a proposal to rebrand after widespread backlash and media attention.

The school had announced plans to rename itself the “World Explorer” kindergarten, Politico reported.

However, it indicated in a recent press release that the discussion was ongoing. Other reports appeared to suggest it had tabled the proposal altogether.

The mayor of Tangerhütte, Andreas Brohm, said the change had been proposed in order to find a name for the school “that has a more positive connotation.”

Linda Schichor, the daycare center manager, added, “We wanted something without a political background.”

Nonetheless, the proposal came at a curious time, as the war between Israel and Hamas has brought tension between Jews and Palestinians into sharp focus around the globe, making an already delicate subject seem even more controversial than it might otherwise have been.

Frank was just 15 years old when she died of typhus in the Nazi concentration camp at Bergen–Belsen in 1945. Her diary, which offered a candid account of her years in hiding, putting a human face on the atrocities of Adolf Hitler’s Third Reich, has since become required reading in many U.S. schools.

In the years since its World War II defeat, Germany has largely sought to make amends for its central role in the darkest chapter of modern history, going so far as to prohibit speech that is sympathetic to the Nazis.

But in a telling sign of the times, as the country—like many others in the Western world—becomes a mecca for radical Islamic colonizers fleeing Africa and the Middle East, it seems anti-Semitism is once again on the rise.

“The move was driven by parents who found it difficult to explain Frank’s significance to their children,” reported the Jerusalem Post following the Tangerhütte school’s initial announcement.

The International Auschwitz Committee, founded by Holocaust survivors, strongly condemned the renaming, as did other Jewish groups and senior politicians in the German state of Saxony–Anhalt.

Social-media users also conveyed their outrage.

“They are promoting diversity by erasing Jews,” wrote pro-Israeli activist Aviva Klompas.

“Migrant parents successfully got Anne Frank canceled in Germany? Seems a little on the nose,” noted conservative pundit and Townhall editor Guy Benson.

“Imagine telling yourself in 2013 that in 10 years time, the Germans will be cancelling the ‘Anne Frank Kindergarten’ because of …. ‘Diversity,’ said blogger Gray Connolly.

“Honoring an innocent girl who was murdered for being Jewish is apparently political. Sure. ok,” tweeted Kate Oxsen, an assistant professor at the Catholic Theological Union.

Crooked Hillary Does the Meme, Compares Trump to Hitler

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Donald Trump was likened to Adolf Hitler so many times before and during his presidency that it inspired a cottage industry of online memes to mock the trite comparison.

But in 2023, Hillary Clinton is still playing the role of the stereotypical Trump-deranged liberal. During her Wednesday appearance on The View, Clinton again compared Germany’s genocidal dictator to Trump—the only American president in the 21st century to not embroil the country in a new war.

“I think he would be even worse now because he was somewhat restrained, believe it or not, in the first term, by people who he hired because he thought they would go along with him, and they stood up to him. And so now he’s going to—if he were ever near the Oval Office again—find people who have no principles, no conscience, who are totally tied to his fortune,” Clinton said.

“Hitler was duly elected, right? And so, all of a sudden, somebody with those tendencies, the dictatorial, authoritarian tendencies, would be like ‘oh OK, we’re going to shut this down, we’re going to throw these people in jail,’ and they didn’t usually telegraph that. Trump is telling us what he intends to do,” she later said.

None of The View members noted the irony that Clinton currently voices full-throated support for a president currently doing the same anti-democratic things as Hitler: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Indeed, Zelenskyy announced in June that he’s suspending elections in his country, citing the ongoing war against Russia. That move followed him nationalizing the media and banning 11 opposition parties.

Zelenskyy reiterated Monday that holding new elections in the middle of the ongoing conflict with Russia would be “utterly irresponsible.”

“We need to recognize that this is a time for defense, a time for battle, upon which the fate of the state and its people depend,” he said, according to Voice of America. “I believe that elections are not appropriate at this time.”

A second translation of Zelenskyy’s remarks by the South China Morning Post alleged that he said, “I believe that now is not the time for elections.”
