NY Gov. Hochul Eats Her Words after Telling Republicans to Move to Florida

'You can bend statistics all you want, but the eye doesn’t lie... '

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Failing leftist New York Gov. Kathy Hochul has gotten exactly what she asked for when she advised Republican voters earlier this year to move out of New York to Florida, the Blaze reported.

In August, Hochul told her political opponents that they are not true New Yorkers because they are not Democrats who support her woke policies, and therefore they should leave.

“Just jump on a bus and head down to Florida where you belong, OK?” she said. “You are not New Yorkers.”

Trump supporters, she suggested, want a Right-wing dictator: “We are fighting for democracy. We’re fighting to bring government back to the people and out of the hands of dictators.”

And now, largely due to her pro-crime and anti-business policies, New Yorkers are bailing out of the disastrous leftist state, with many joining Gov. Ron DeSantis in Florida, per a Census Bureau report.

In a subsequent speech, Hochul lamented the fact that New York has been subject to the largest population decline in the entirety of the United States.

“We must and will make our state safe,” she said, referring to the crime wave that she supported. “We have to make our state more affordable … And we must reverse the trend of people leaving our state in search of lower costs and opportunities elsewhere.”

Yet in her speech, Hochul failed to note that the problems of her state come almost entirely from her woke policies.

Even New Yorkers who voted for Hochul recognize that she is entirely out of touch with reality.

“Hochul needs to ride these trains and get a feel for what we’re seeing every day. You can bend statistics all you want, but the eye doesn’t lie,” one supporter said soon after Hochul won reelection.

“The laws in the state are enabling crime, and Hochul’s got to find a way to change them.”
