After Electing Dem. Gov Hochul, New Yorkers Beg Her to Stop the Crime Wave She Created

‘You deserve what you're getting...’

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) After electing Democrat Kathy Hochul to be their governor, despite the crime and violence that has reigned during her tenure, leftists from New York begged Hochul to fix the crisis after narrowly pulling out a midterm win over Republican Lee Zeldin.

“I’m happy Hochul won, but I don’t want her to think winning gives her a pass to keep things status quo,” one city subway rider told the New York Post.

“Hopefully, she heard our voices this time. It was a close election, and hopefully a wakeup call to her that these issues are real and it’s time to take them seriously.”

Another wary New Yorker said that even though he voted for Hochul, he wasn’t cheering the win.

“I didn’t wake up this morning in a celebratory mood, let’s put it that way,” he said.

“Hochul needs to ride these trains and get a feel for what we’re seeing every day. You can bend statistics all you want, but the eye doesn’t lie,” he said. “The laws in the state are enabling crime, and Hochul’s got to find a way to change them.”

Some people couldn’t vote for Zeldin, because of their apparent Trump Derangement Syndrome.

“I just could not vote for Lee Zeldin after his support for Trump,” Kathy Morgenstern said, adding that she “freaks out” over subway crime because her teenage daughter takes the train to her school every day.

“It’s not like subway crime is new but violent crime is happening a lot more,” she said. “I want Hochul to prioritize addressing crime in New York City and I think she knows she has to.”

Catturd, a conservative Twitter personality, gave New Yorkers a brutal assessment of their current situation.
