(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) New York City Mayor Eric Adams is working to micromanage the diet of each citizen under his jurisdiction, Twitchy reported.

“I’ve got to get New Yorkers to eat a plant-based centered life,” Adams said in a press conference, and moves on without elaborating on what a “plant-based centered life” would mean.
He also claimed that he eats plant-based foods.
Similar attempts at enforcing health laws made by Adams’s predecessors have not gone well.
In 2012, Mike Bloomberg attempted to control soda portions legally, which was overturned by the court. Bill de Blasio, however, did not attempt to enforce any health laws, and instead offered New Yorkers free cheeseburgers if they could show proof of vaccination.
While Adams did not offer any elaboration on what a “plant-based centered life” would look like for the millions of people in New York, many were quick to offer criticism:
Imagine that. Mayors telling people how to live and what to eat. So exhausting. Plant based food has been around for years- why is this a push NOW? ?That shit is NOT for everyone!

I’ve been a vegetarian since 1997. I’m about ready to resume meat consumption because of these people.
