White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany demanded on Tuesday that the White House Correspondent Association investigate Playboy reporter Brian Karem for repeatedly shouting “misogynistic questions” at her.
“If you’re a female woman in the Republican Party who takes that podium, guess what your worry is? Having a Playboy reporter shout questions at you,” McEnany said.
“It’s a double standard,” she continued. “It’s one that’s ridiculous. And one that the White House Correspondents’ Association should look into, when you have Playboy reporters shouting at women in a misogynistic manner simply because they’re a member of the GOP.”
.@PressSec seemingly calls for @whca to investigate @BrianKarem: “If you’re a female woman in the Republican Party who takes that podium, guess what your worry is? Karem repeatedly yelled at McEnany during a press briefing last month with questions about when Trump would admit he lost the 2020 election to Democratic candidate Joe Biden.
In his abusive and patronizing barrages, the writer for the magazine, best known for its erotic nude-female pictorials, cast aspersions on McEnany’s basic competence.
“Do you understand the definition of sedition? Do you understand that he lost?” he shouted. “When you gonna admit you lost?”
NOW: question: “Do you understand what the definition of sedition is?” Also followed it with another question about admitting that they lost. Response… pic.twitter.com/b2hQtTBlH1

Karem has previously garnered a name for himself in the White House Press Corp., not for his work but for his unprofessional conduct.
A heated exchange with Trump advisor Sebastian Gorka nearly came to physical blows, resulting in an effort by the White House to suspend his press credentials.
Karem responded to McEnany’s criticism by calling her “lame.”
Lame. @realDonaldTrump failed 3 times in court to ban me. Speaking truth to power is not misogyny. You work for a misogynist. Your briefings are propaganda. You failed the American people who pay your salary. You’re sore because you can’t answer questions honestly. https://t.co/n0vHZJipiV
