McDonald’s Pulls ESG from Golden Arches Website

'We’re lovin’ it!...'

(Dmytro “Henry” AleksandrovHeadline USA) Woke McDonald’s Corp. quietly removed the term “ESG” from some parts of its website after the fast food chain saw conservatives push back against leftist corporations’ beliefs, specifically when it comes to environmental, social and governance initiatives.

In addition to regular Americans, some conservative politicians in the U.S. also expressed their criticism of ESG, Bloomberg News reported.

McDonald’s “Purpose & Impact” website recently removed several mentions of ESG. Even though most of the other text remained the same, some titles from their website were changed to avoid the backlash from conservatives who started to push back against “woke capitalism.”

One page’s original title, “ESG Approach & Progress,” was changed to “Our Approach & Progress,” while another web page that was previously titled “Performance & ESG Reporting” now shows up as “Goal Performance & Reporting.”

In some cases, McDonald’s removed their public display of support for ESG policies, while still hiding their woke ideology by using a typical Marxist gobbledygook such as “environmental and social issues.”

The fast food chain refused to comment on the changes but said that it is still committed to reporting annually on the company’s “progress on social and environmental goals,” Bloomberg reported. One such update was released earlier this month but was recently removed for an unknown reason.

“We’re lovin’ it!” State Financial Officers Foundation wrote in response.

American companies, including McDonald’s, have faced a backlash against their ESG-related shareholder proposals affecting issues like workers’ rights and diversity.

This prompted an Ohio-based asset management firm that was co-founded by Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy to send a letter last month to McDonald’s, urging the company to do away with some of its diversity policies.

Despite all of the signs, McDonald’s, until it recently made some changes to the company’s plan, continued to engage with key stakeholder groups on environmental and social issues where it can have the greatest impact “against the backdrop of a continually changing external landscape,” the company’s website stated.

Disney, another woke corporation, also removed its diversity, equity and inclusion  programs as a response to the backlash from conservatives.
