Legal Experts at ‘The View’ Think Hillary Should Sue Fox for Reporting on Durham

'She may not remember this but her dad was also an impeached disgraced president... '

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) As a follow up to President Biden’s State of the Union address, “The View” invited Chelsea Clinton on the show.

The segment covered Clinton’s opinion on the address, lawsuits against former President Trump and how her mother, Hillary Clinton, should sue Fox News, reported NewsBusters.

“It was wonderful for me to see that your mother recently took on the former, twice-impeached, disgraced president for spreading lies about her and accusing her of spying on his campaign, which we all know is false,” host Sunny Hostin said.

“Well, most of us know,” she added.

Clinton responded, commenting on how her mother “also took on Fox News,” suggesting their coverage of Special Counsel John Durham‘s filings was done with “actual malice.”

After the Durham filing, the entire cast of “The View” urged Hillary Clinton to sue Fox news for covering the story.

“Actual malice is actually the standard for defamation if you are defaming a famous person, and she’s certainly is somebody that is famous in the public eye,” Hostin responded. “So, it’s a very high standard but she’s telling them, ‘you’re actually reaching this legal standard.’ And I’m sure Fox’s lawyers were listening to that kind of thing.”

The bar for a defamation lawsuit is not “actual malice,” as Hostin claimed. However, if it were, “The View” would be sued constantly.

The group also discussed the State of the Union address, calling it “bipartisan” and “American.”

Twitter users had several thoughts on the younger Clinton’s appearance:
