The Left has dominated higher education for decades, and it appears that things are only getting worse.
Only Virginia Tech University, the University of Florida and Boston College invited remotely conservative speakers to deliver commencement addresses.
Virginia Tech invited Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin; the University of Florida invited former college and pro football star Tim Tebow; Boston College, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The report noted that 53 of those same top 100 universities will host decidedly liberal speakers.
The remaining 44 speakers have unclear political positions according to the study.
Among the liberals who have been invited to give commencement addresses are House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., at Brown University; Taylor Swift at New York University; and the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield at the University of Wisconsin-Madison
A number of other mainstream media officials and Biden administration officers will speak.
Even President Joe Biden is set to deliver the commencement address for graduates at his alma mater, the University of Delaware.
Of course, college administrations often face a great deal of pressure from students and faculty to choose liberals as commencement speakers. In recent years students have protested conservatives, who they are less and less willing to tolerate.
Students at Taylor University in Indiana, for example, staged a walkout during a 2019 commencement speech delivered by then-Vice President Mike Pence.
Pence also dealt with walkouts at Notre Dame University–a Catholic institution–in 2017.
According to Kara Zupkus, the Young America’s Foundation spokeswoman, universities across America have doubled-down on woke ideologies in hopes of salvaging their decades of work.
“Even as Americans are beginning to wake up and wholly reject the Left’s disastrous economic policies and culture wars, America’s universities are working overtime to rehab the Left’s failing image,” she said.
“It’s truly sad that up until their very last day of school, students are being indoctrinated by speakers with a clear ideological agenda — people who have no intent on giving an actual inspiring, powerful sendoff to our future leaders.”
