(Headline USA) Leftists attacked Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, this week after it was reported that he got into a heated exchange with airport employees in Montana over the weekend.
Footage posted on Reddit showed Cruz, who was wearing a mask, speaking with two United Airlines staffers at Montana’s Bozeman Airport on Sunday after he missed the check-in window for his flight.
The airport employees apparently responded to Cruz’s complaints by calling the cops on him.
“One of our Public Safety Officers (PSO) was in the ticket lobby and was asked to assist with a frustrated passenger at the United ticket counter (which is not unusual),” Scott Humphrey, a deputy director of the airport, confirmed to the Daily Mail.
“The passenger had missed the check-in window for his flight and re-booking options were limited out of Bozeman due to Spring Break.”
Leftists immediately jumped on the story and tried to tie it to the Cancun controversy, when Cruz’s family flew to Mexico during a deadly Texas snow storm.
Ted Cruz caused such a scene at an airport that the police came
One person heard him say: “Do you know who I am?”
Yea we know, Big Turd
The man who wouldn’t defend his wife. Who fled to Cancun while Texans died. Who killed gun reform after Sandy Hook. Who betrayed our republic

Ted Cruz is flipping out in a Montana airport, probably because he’s not in Cancun’s more spacious, warm airport. pic.twitter.com/mcqU368PaK

Airport police are called to deal with Ted Cruz after he caused a ruckus at the Bozeman Montana airport when he missed the check-in window for his flight. A witness says he actually said, “Do you know who I am?”. No word yet on whether he was headed to Cancun. pic.twitter.com/43jBIVDR6N

Cruz has not commented on the incident. But his supporters were quick to point out that the senator was likely frustrated because he was due to be back in Washington, D.C. for the first day of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson‘s confirmation hearings on Monday.
