LeBron James Says Brittney Griner Should Consider Staying in Russia

'You’re a clown, not a king... '

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Lebron James, pro basketball player and leftist Black Lives Matter booster, suggested that Soviet-imprisoned WNBA star Brittney Griner should stay in Russia because America is racist and she’s better off in a Siberian gulag.

“[He] said that if he were Griner, he’d choose to be detained in Russia rather than return to the United States,” Townhall reported. “James made these remarks on an episode of HBO’s The Shop: Uninterrupted, which airs on July 15.”

Griner, a WNBA star, has been in Russian custody since February. She was caught with vape cartridges containing cannabis oil, which might fly in some American states. In Russia, she could face a decade in a prison. She pleaded guilty to the charges.

According to Sports Illustrated, James said that America does not support Griner and asked rhetorically why she would even want to go back to the United States.

During his appearance on the HBO show, James held forth on Griner’s plight and “spoke his mind on the situation and criticized America’s efforts to bring her home,” Sports Illustrated reported.

“Now, how can she feel like America has her back?” James asked. “I would be feeling like, ‘Do I even wanna go back to America?’”

It seems that James’s PR team realized once again that he made another nonsensical statement and told him to backtrack because, on July 12, James tweeted that he wasn’t “knocking” America.

“Long story short. #BringHerHome. #FreeBG.”

Seth Dillon, the CEO of Babylon Bee, responded to James’s tweet.

“You’re a clown, not a king.”
