(Chris Parker, Headline USA) Vice President Kamala Harris appeared Tuesday to find humor in the horrific shooting that gripped the small town of Uvalde, Texas.
According to the website We Love Trump, Harris could be seen stifling laughter while discussing the shooting and the Biden administration’s response to it during a press conference.
The questionable reaction comes at around the 36-second mark, as she says “There are parents who have lost children…” before suppressing a chortle.
“So what do you think, is Kamala possessed by a cackling, hyena demon?” We Love Trump asked.
The death count currently sits at 19 students and two teachers. It is expected to grow after numerous hospitalizations. The shooter was later identified as 18-year-old Salvador Ramos. He was shot and killed by police. Some officers also sustained gun shot wounds.
It was unclear to some whether Harris’s response was one of bemusement or grief in the video. However, this isn’t the first time that Harris has been admonished for inappropriate laughter.
In fact, Harris’s garbled speechifying—sometimes delivered with the pedantry of a kindergarten teacher to her students—and her constant case of the giggles have led to past speculation that she may never have abandoned her self-professed college pastime of habitually smoking marijuana.
She began laughing after reporters questioned her about the deadly war in Afghanistan last August. That interview came after her delay in addressing the issue.
She also laughed over seemingly misguided priorities when asked about migrant students attending classes while American students had to learn from home. The controversial decision was made in San Diego, where migrant children were allowed to return to school first.
According to one SDUSD parent, “The system is broken when San Diego teachers are teaching migrant children in person, but the 100k students of taxpaying families at San Diego Unified School District are stuck learning in Zoom school.”
Harris laughed again when asked if she would visit the border amid an illegal immigration crisis. The Biden administration has refused to call the border invasion a crisis.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki claimed that “children escaping from persecution in their home countries is not a crisis.” However, 77% of apprehended illegal immigrants are single adults trying to evade capture rather than seek asylum.
In the wake of Tuesday’s horrific massacre, Harris and President Joe Biden are among the litany of leftists who have responded with more calls for gun control.
Biden also ramped up calls to “stand up to the gun lobby.” He then compared his own experience with losing a child with the Texas shooting in asking Americans to abandon their right to self-defense.
