In Blow to COVID Cover-Up, GOP’s Paul, Massie Sweep Ky.

'I will not only hold Dr. Fauci accountable, we will finally investigate why your tax dollars were sent to fund dangerous research in Wuhan... '

(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) Amid an ebbing red wave midterm, Republicans notched big wins in Kentucky with Sen. Rand Paul and Rep. Thomas Massie both pulling impressive numbers.

Projections called the race early for Paul, who romped to a nearly 23-point win over leftist Democrat Charles Booker and immediately turned his focus on unfinished business in the Senate, promising to subpoena “every last document of Dr. [Anthony] Fauci” and unearthing the truth about whether COVID-19 can be traced to lab research in China, reported Fox News.

“I promise you this: the COVID cover-up will end,” Paul vowed.

“I will not only hold Dr. Fauci accountable, we will finally investigate why your tax dollars were sent to fund dangerous research in Wuhan [in China],” Paul said.

While promising accountability, the Republican also pushed to lower the political and partisan temperature that a demonizing and divisive President Joe Biden has promoted.

“It is my hope that as our nation moves forward, the anger, the vitriol and even the death threats will abate,” Paul said. “Surely there is common cause in the concept that a limited, constitutional government allows people from all walks of life to live peacefully together.”

Fauci and the rest of the Biden regime’s medical monarchy didn’t fare any better on the House side of Kentucky’s ballots, where incumbent Massie cruised to landslide win.

Massie has long been an outspoken Fauci critic and has fought a relentless battle over enforced vaccination mandates, school lockdowns and arbitrary and anti-science masking mandates.

When an idea was floated by a leftist publication for a COVID amnesty, Massie wanted no part of it.

Paul and Massie have both also been critical of Biden’s foreign entanglement and prolific spending on the Ukraine-Russia war.

In a victory statement posted to Twitter, Massie vowed to keep up the “fight for personal liberty, economic freedom and constitutionally-limited government.”

“It’s going to be very exciting to be in the majority,” Massie said, striking an optimistic tone when the balance of power was still in flux with voted to be tallied and an expected red wave waning.

“And to keep a check on this administration that has done so many hurtful things to our economy and the people of this country.”
