(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) Along with stunning IRS whistleblower testimony indicating that President Joe Biden’s Justice Department repeatedly and improperly interfered with the criminal investigation of Hunter Biden, additional testimony directly linked Joe Biden to his son’s illicit business dealings.
Gary Shapley, a former IRS supervisor who oversaw parts of the Hunter Biden tax fraud investigation, delivered damning evidence during a six-hour deposition in March with the House Ways and Means Committee, documents released Thursday showed.
Shapley divulged to lawmakers that the IRS investigation had uncovered mounds of evidence linking Joe Biden’s involvement to his family’s income streams flowing from international business dealings.
In one shockingly direct example, Shapley revealed communications lifted from Hunter Biden’s social media that included a WhatsApp message that showed the First Son dropping his father’s name to threaten Chinese businessman Henry Zhao.
The Communist Party official had investment ties to a management fund co-founded by Hunter in the days after he joined his dad, then Vice-President Biden, aboard Air Force Two for an official trip to Beijing, according to the New York Post’s Peter Schweizer, who first reported the link in 2018.
“[W]e obtained a July 30th, 2017, WhatsApp message from Hunter Biden to Henry Zhao, where Hunter Biden wrote: ‘I am sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled. Tell the director that I would like to resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and now means tonight,'” Shapley testified during his committee deposition.
“And, Z, if I get a call or text from anyone involved in this other than you, Zhang, or the chairman, I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction. I am sitting here waiting for the call with my father.”
Their warnings fell on deaf ears.
In August 2020, a search warrant uncovered a text between Hunter and Henry Zhao, an executive at a Chinese company that paid Hunter $100,000.

“Communications like these made it clear we needed to search the guest house at the Bidens’ Delaware residence where Hunter Biden stayed for a time,” Shapley told lawmakers, adding that the DOJ shut down efforts to proceed in that direction.
Additional revelations reportedly placed Joe Biden in direct proximity to Hunter Biden when he threatened their Chinese business partner.
Hunter was placed at his father’s home in Wilmington, Delaware, by photographs recovered from Hunter Biden’s laptop, reported the Washington Free Beacon. Four photos from the laptop show Hunter Biden in his dad’s Corvette on the same day that he sent a sent the coercive text to Zhao.
“If Joe Biden was sitting next to his son as he sent the message as it suggests, it would be a fatal blow to the president’s repeated claims that he never discussed overseas business deals with his son,” wrote the Free Beacon’s Chuck Ross and Andrew Kerr.
The White House did not respond to a request for comment, reported the Free Beacon.
