Watch: House Intel Chief Raises Alarm Over Biden-China Business Ties

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA) In a recent interview on the Sunday Morning Futures show with host Maria Bartiromo, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner, R-Ohio, expressed concerns about President Joe Biden and his son Hunter’s alleged business ties to China and their potential implications for U.S. national security.

When asked about America’s vulnerability to communist China, Turner stated, “Well, it’s certainly concerning, and you do see a pattern of really uncoordinated policy by the Biden administration in responding to Chinese threats.”

Turner referred to alleged payments received by the Biden family, suggesting a potential sale of influence in the Obama administration’s foreign policy.

He said, “You have these payments, payments that went to Hunter Biden and Biden family members from Ukraine, Romania, and China itself, as you pointed out, payments that had been denied before. Remember, these are not accusations. These are actual documented bank records and Treasury documents that show that these were suspicious transactions.”

The House intel chairman cited the damning allegations brought forward by House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., who highlighted “over 100 suspicious transactions that occurred involving the Biden family and these three sources.”

Turner further questioned the nature of these payments, stating, “You have to ask the question, what were they buying? What was it they expected they were buying? They certainly weren’t buying Hunter Biden’s expertise, and that’s what James Comer’s doing in his investigation, getting to the bottom of that.”

Regarding the need for a strong response to threats posed by China, Turner concluded, “It’s time for the United States to stand up, clean up the past, and make certain that we respond to these threats, make certain we respond to their efforts to penetrate us for espionage, the hacking aspects are responded to. And certainly, they’re held accountable for the things they’re doing with Russia right now in violation of sanctions for the Ukraine offensive.”
