(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Leftist Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer refused to support any restrictions on abortion while she was debating Republican Tudor Dixon on Thursday, a radical position that it’s fine to kill unborn babies right up to the second they’re born.
“The debate opened with a question on abortion, with both candidates being asked if they would offer any restrictions or exceptions on the issue of abortion,” Breitbart reported.
“Despite being asked repeatedly by the moderator if she had any restrictions on abortion, Whitmer punted the question and gave no answer.”
In her initial statement, Whitmer declared that women in the U.S. lost their “right” to kill the babies in their wombs, after Roe v. Wade was overturned.
“When the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, it took away rights that we’ve had for 49 years. Rights that I’ve had my whole life have now been ripped away from women and girls in this country,” she said.
“Michigan could revert to a 1931 law that makes it a felony, with no exceptions for rape or incest, criminalizing doctors and nurses.”
The moderator pressed Whitmer to name any restrictions on abortion that she thinks are acceptable, but she didn’t name any.
Dixon hammered Whitmer’s radical position that will allow abortion up until the moment of birth.

Whitmer also supports the state’s Prop 3, which would liberalize abortion to the degree that would prohibit parents to deny their underage daughters an abortion while allowing the murder of babies up until birth.
In an email to Breitbart News, the Michigan Republican Party revealed that Whitmer is even more radical than that.
“Whitmer repeatedly said she would ‘fight like hell’ to protect abortion – rhetoric that was described as ‘words of insurrection’ by congressional Democrats. Gretchen Whitmer refused to condemn violence from pro-abortion extremists,” the party wrote.
“A Pro-life pregnancy resource center in Southfield was attacked. An 86-year-old pro-life campaign volunteer was shot in the back after a disagreement on abortion.”
The most recent polls show Whitmer in a marginally tight race with Dixon.
“A recent CBS News/YouGov poll showed that Democrat Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has a six-point lead over Republican challenger Tudor Dixon — 53 percent to 47 percent. A Detroit News poll in early September showed Whitmer leading Dixon by 13 points.”
