(Ezekiel Loseke, Headline USA) Gianno Caldwell, a Fox News reporter who happens to be black, was kicked out of a Miami restaurant on Saturday because of his conservatism, continuing the recent trend of liberals treating conservatives as second-class citizens.
Gianno Caldwell was asked to leave a North Miami restaurant name “Paradis Books and Bread,” because he was a conservative, according to a Fox News Story he posted on Facebook and Twitter.
Caldwell was joining friends at the establishment for the first time when he was approached by an owner of the restaurant. He reported that the owner said she had been eavesdropping on their discussion and decided that they “were not welcome.”
Caldwell reported asking the owner if he had said something triggering. The owner reportedly responded by having the following exchange with Caldwell:
“Are you a conservative?”
“Yes. In fact, I have a book called Taken for Granted: How Conservatism Can Win Back the Americans That Liberalism Failed. You should get the book.”
This exchange resulted in Caldwell and his friends being asked to leave the restaurant. The restaurant, in a post on its official Instagram account, released a statement explaining the event:
“Their behavior and their words made other folks in the space as well as us working very uncomfortable. We told them that our views don’t align, and that the language they were using was unwelcome in our space.”
On the same weekend that Caldwell was kicked out of a restaurant, another Fox News employee, Adam Klotz, was beaten on a subway, according to a video he posted on Instagram.
Three youths involved with the assault were detained, but released without charges, according to the New York Post.
Todd Starnes, an independent journalist who worked for Fox News for more than a decade, commented on the assault on his website.
“This is what happens with you elect Democrats to public office,” Starnes said. “They care more about the well-being of the criminals instead of the victims.”
