(Robert Jonathan, Headline USA) The attempt by U.S. Rep. Dan Goldman to perhaps add “meteorologist” to Joe Biden’s resume has prompted widespread ridicule on social media.
In a statement released after Hunter Biden’s business associate appeared on Capitol Hill in a four-hour, closed-door deposition on Monday, House Oversight Committee chair James Comer, R – Ky., summarized what happened in the room.
“Devon Archer’s testimony today confirms Joe Biden lied to the American people when he said he had no knowledge about his son’s business dealings and was not involved. Joe Biden was ‘the brand’ that his son sold around the world to enrich the Biden family. When Joe Biden was Vice President of the United States, he joined Hunter Biden’s dinners with his foreign business associates in person or by speakerphone over 20 times,” Comer explained, in part.
“When Burisma’s owner was facing pressure from the Ukrainian prosecutor investigating the company for corruption, Archer testified that Burisma executives asked Hunter to ‘call D.C.’ after a Burisma board meeting in Dubai,” Comer also noted.
Comer vowed to continue to follow the Biden family “money trail,” and contended that “President Biden is compromised and corrupt, and our national security is threatened.”
According to spin spewed by ex-MSNBC analyst Goldman, however, a Democrat who represents a New York City district and as an Oversight Committee member, was in the room during the Archer presentation, the conversations were personal and not business.
“It sound like most of the time, now President Biden didn’t even know who the people — he was at dinner. He was just asked to say hello,” Goldman claimed.
“And he would talk about the weather…he described what the weather was, what’s going on on your end. The witness was very, very consistent that none of those conversations ever had to do with any business dealings or transactions,” Goldman asserted.

Goldman, who was the lead attorney for Trump Impeachment 1.0 before getting elected to Congress, also insisted that the conversations were all casual and consisted of mere “niceties.”
The Biden apologist didn’t stop there, however.
Not only is Joe Biden a would-be weatherman, but his son might be a magician.
According to Goldman, “‘Archer testified that because Hunter Biden was under pressure from Ukrainian energy company Burisma, ‘he had to give the illusion — and he used that term, the illusion — of access to his father, and he tried to get credit for things that he — that Mr. Archer testified Hunter had nothing to do with, such as when Vice President Biden went to Ukraine on his own,'” The Hill reported.
Among others, U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R – Ga., countered Goldman’s claims, calling the Devon Archer testimony “extremely damning.”

More specifics about the transcribed Archer testimony will likely unfold in the coming days.
As alluded to above, lots of people took to Twitter to comment on the Goldman gambit, including President Ronald Reagan’s son Michael.
“In the eight years that my father was President of the United States I never once sat in the room with business associates and called him on the phone. If I had, the Democrats would have skewered me,” Reagan noted.
Conservative influencer Dinesh D’Souza, as one of many other examples, quipped that Goldman insisted that “all Biden talked about was the WEATHER. Evidently millions of $$ flowed into the Biden family accounts for WEATHER REPORTS!”
Separately, it does seem like whenever revelations emerge about alleged Biden family corruption and influence pedaling, the Democrat-media complex rushes out some negative information about former President Donald Trump, including weaponized legal charges, a.k.a. lawfare.
In that context, on Monday, the GOP 2024 frontrunner wrote on Truth Social that he expects to be again indicted “any day now, as yet another attempt to cover up all the bad news about bribes, payoffs, and extortion, coming from the Biden ‘camp.'”
The Twitter feed of “KanekoaTheGreat” provided this purported timeline of Joe Biden’s alleged contacts with son Hunter’s business associates.
