(Headline USA) Seemingly overnight, Democrats are coming forward to admit that President Joe Biden’s mental fitness is a problem, and that it would be a problem for the party if he decided to run again in 2024.
Over the weekend, the New York Times published a report in which multiple White House aides and Democratic strategists raised concerns about Biden’s age—especially in light of his apparent commitment to running for president again.
Aides close to Biden described him as a “five- or five-and-a-half-day-a-week president,” who spends as much time in Delaware as possible, and refuses to hold regular press conferences like his predecessors.
“[White House aides] acknowledged that Mr. Biden looks older than just a few years ago … His energy level, while impressive for a man of his age, is not what it was, and some aides quietly watch out for him,” the report said.
“He often shuffles when he walks, and aides worry he will trip on a wire,” it continued. “He stumbles over words during public events, and they hold their breath to see if he makes it to the end without a gaffe.”
Though many Democrats still think the president can serve the rest of his first term without an issue, many are beginning to argue publicly that it would be wrong for Biden to seek a second term, especially since he would be 82-years-old in 2024.
“I do feel it’s inappropriate to seek that office after you’re 80 or in your 80s,” said David Gergen, a top Democratic adviser.
“I have just turned 80, and I have found over the last two or three years I think it would have been unwise for me to try to run any organization,” he added. “You’re not quite as sharp as you once were.”
A new poll of Democrats reflects this concern. The survey from the New York Times and Siena College—released on Monday, just a couple of days after the Times’s first report—found that two-thirds of Democratic voters want the party to pick a different candidate for the 2024 presidential race. And more than three-quarters of all Americans say they believe the country is moving in the wrong direction, the poll found.
“I’m just going to come out and say it: I want younger blood,” said one respondent, Nicole Farrier from Michigan.
“I am so tired of all old people running our country,” she added. “I don’t want someone knocking on death’s door.”
Many conservatives have pointed out that this seemingly coordinated campaign to discourage Biden from running again is really the result of Biden’s record-breaking low approval ratings. They understand that Democrats are on their way to a massive defeat in November, argued Breitbart’s John Nolte, and are looking for a scapegoat.
“Biden’s cognitive and physical decline has been OBVIOUS for two years, so why is the Times choosing to report the truth now after two years of lying, ignoring, spinning, and covering that truth up?” Nolte wrote.
“The New York Times has been juicing weighting polls for decades to protect Democrats and manipulate public opinion, so why release this bombshell poll now?” he continued. “The corporate media’s only agenda is to further the left’s fascist cause. So once you lay that Leftist Cause Filter over these two Times’ stories, you get your answer: It is in the best interest of the left’s fascist cause to dump Joe Biden.”
Of course, the best proof of the Left’s hive-mind conspiracy may be the fact that the late Rush Limbaugh correctly predicted it on Dec. 15, 2020—just a month after the election.
“If they decide to take Biden out they will have ample evidence, and once the decision is make the fake news media will temporarily become hard news media,” said Limbaugh in one of his final broadcasts, two months before losing his battle with lung cancer.

Shortly after Limbaugh’s prognostication, Headline USA concurred, noting that not only will Biden get thrown under the bus by his own party, but that the alternative to him may be far worse.
“While the selection of California Sen. Kamala Harris may keep Biden safe from Republican malfeasance, it will not help him from the greater danger within his own party—none of whom seem overly enthused by their pick,” said the column.
