(Headline USA) Actress Sara Foster, daughter of musician and producer David Foster, blasted “s***hole” San Francisco and the city’s “liberal” leadership this week after tech CEO Bob Lee was violently killed in a stabbing.
Lee, a 43-year-old father of two and the co-founder of Cash App, was stabbed to death in San Francisco’s affluent Rincon Hill neighborhood on Tuesday.
“I have no words,” Foster wrote on Twitter. “SF is a complete s***hole. I am a registered Democrat and feel confident saying liberal politicians are ruining cities. Disgusting. My heart breaks for this family.”
This is not the first time Foster has publicly broken with the Democrat Party. Last November, she endorsed Republican mayoral candidate Rick Caruso in the Los Angeles race.
Lee had also publicly denounced the governance of San Francisco, and had even moved his family to Miami just months before the attack.
“He did comment on San Francisco deteriorating,” a former MMA fighter and friend of Lee, Jake Shields, said.
However, San Francisco’s officials have continued to defend their policies, with Democrat Mayor London Breed claiming the city “prioritiz[es] public safety.”
“The police are actively investigating what happened and will share details as soon as they can,” Breed said on Thursday. “San Francisco is prioritizing public safety, including recently passing our budget supplemental so we have the police staffing necessary to have more police officers in our neighborhoods and to investigate violent crimes when they do occur.”
San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins made a similar claim.
“Protecting public safety & holding violent/repeat offenders accountable is a top priority for my administration. We work closely w/ @SFPD & bring forward charges when arrests are made & there is enough evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant is guilty,” she tweeted.
