Comer Rips Raskin’s Deceit After Ex-DOJ Official Vindicates Biden Probe

'[A]pologize to the American people for spreading disinformation...'

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA) House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., and fellow Republican members launched a scathing attack on Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., demanding an apology and correction for what they labeled as the dissemination of false information regarding the Biden family bribery allegations.

The call for retraction comes in the wake of revelations from former Pittsburgh U.S. Attorney Scott Brady, whose recent testimony directly contradicted Raskin’s assertions that the Trump-era DOJ had shelved the investigation due to insufficient evidence.

“[Y]ou have been a spirited critic of the need to look into President Biden or his family. It is of course your prerogative to determine how best to serve your constituents, Abbe Lowell, and the American people,” the fiery letter began.

“However, the Oversight Committee must not be used as a means to propagate false or deceptive information, and for that purpose, we must address public statements you have made that contradict facts and are, unfortunately, lies,” the letter added.

The Republican members further pressed for a formal correction and a public apology from Raskin.

“The Committee requests that you formally correct the record and apologize to the American people for spreading disinformation about evidence collected by the Committee during its investigation of President Biden,” the letter read, spanning four pages.

This rebuke follows Brady’s closed-door testimony, where he explicitly refuted Raskin’s assertion that the probe into the Biden family, including the alleged $10 million bribery bombshell, was terminated.

“My understanding of Mr. Raskin’s public statements is that, based on the determination that I and my team found the allegations in the 1023 not credible or other information not credible, we did not escalate the assessment to a limited or full investigation. That’s not true,” Brady emphasized, as per the transcript reviewed by Just the News.
