As most Americans are busy celebrating the holidays, leaders across the nation are stripping them of freedoms while imposing strict penalties for noncompliance in the New Year.
Chicago is the latest major city, following Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Los Angeles, to have ordered freedoms to be stripped from millions of tax-paying citizens.
“To put it simply, if you have been living vaccine-free, your time is up,” proclaimed Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, who has a shameless history of ignoring her own rules and orders.
The mandate, which is scheduled to take effect Jan. 3, will require anyone aged 5 and older to be fully vaccinated to enter any restaurant, bar, gym, or other indoor venue for sports or entertainment. The regulations are to remain in place “until the City deems that the threat of COVID-19 to public health has diminished significantly.”
Children will not be allowed to participate in normal society, unless they show their papers. The order strips parents from control of their children’s health and welfare.
“If you wish to live life as w/the ease to do the things you love, you must be vax’d,” Lightfoot tweeted. “This health order may pose an inconvenience to the unvaccinated, and in fact it is inconvenient by design.”

Lightfoot’s authoritarian order follows in line with Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, who earlier this week announced she is banning citizens from entering most private and public indoor businesses and venues unless they show a vaccine passport.
There is no screening for the virus, or requirement to be non-infectious before entering a place of business. You could be sick with COVID, but under Wu’s mandate as long as you show your papers, you are allowed to spread the virus. It all comes down to showing your papers and big government punishing citizens.
In Wu’s own words, “Once it gets to the point that it is part of the culture, part of the standard expectation, there’s much less direct challenge in compliance.”
Leaders have turned people into potentially virus-spreading outcasts, just because they chose not to have an experimental vaccine pumped into their bodies. Covid Czar Anthony Fauci has even suggested that citizens disinvite any unvaccinated relatives coming to visit for Christmas.
“Maybe another time,” Fauci said, “when this is all over.”
This is all happening despite data showing vaccinated people get sick and spread the virus. These new orders do not check for infection or illness, just papers showing compliance.
The Chicago order is worded almost exactly the same as Boston’s dictate, giving the elite an exemption for performing artists and professional athletes from compliance.
As Steve Bannon says, “There are no conspiracies, but there are no coincidences.”
Mayors across the nation are using the same playbook and assuming unilateral control to strip millions of citizens of their freedoms while excluding the elites. This power grab is done without any public debate or vote, under the guise of “Public Health.”
No laws have been passed making any medical treatment mandatory to keep your freedoms, at least not yet. The media is supposed to be a voice for the powerless and a check on the powerful. In this case, the media is one of the largest cheerleaders for these tyrannical orders.
“So this is how liberty dies … with thunderous applause,” Senator Padme Amidala said in the movie “Star Wars”.
There is much to be learned from the movie’s plot, where a scared public grants emergency powers to one leader, who strips freedoms and liberty from the population for the common good. He turns a democracy into an empire, using tyranny in order to secure a safe and heathy society. He turns out to be the Dark Lord of the Sith.
As Chicago Mayor Lightfoot said, “New steps must be taken to protect the health and wellbeing of our residents.”
