(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) An annual pilgrimage of virtue signaling mixed with drugs, booze, kinky sex, climate alarmism and full-blown leftist angst devolved into a pit of horror and decadence when a freak storm turned the Burning Man festival into a muddied mess that has left at least one dead.
As social media accounts revealed the morass, President Joe Biden was briefed on the status of a large part of his climate alarmist base that was stuck in a mess of their own making in the middle of Black Rock Desert. The location, about 100 miles outside Reno, Nevada, was made even more dire with only one access road.
Events at this year’s Burning Man went downhill from the start, when a group of climate activists threatened the safety of festival-goers with a protest blockade that stalled traffic for miles in the desert sun. Nevada’s Tribal Rangers shut down the protest in epic style, ironically allowing the leftists in line to continue their trek to the festival that would turn into a mud pit.
Biden told reporters that he was aware of the situation at Burning Man, including the death, and said that the White House was in touch with local officials, an update that critics blasted as an insulting difference compared to Biden’s original snub reaction to the wildfires that ravaged Maui.
Nevada officials declared the festival site a natural disaster area and leftists were urging the Biden administration to declare the recovery a national disaster, a potential that lit up social media.
Burning Man, where 65,000 registered Democrats go out in the middle of nowhere to do drugs and listen to music, completely flooded so the event is a disaster and they're trying to get Biden to declare it a national emergency 🦺 pic.twitter.com/m4WM3zJKsA

At the same time, Biden was ripped for still failing to find time in his busy vacation schedule to make a long-promised visit to East Palestine, the embattled Ohio town still reeling from a toxic train derailment earlier this year.
The festival goers are his political base.

It would be easier to just say "I'm not going to East Palestine because it's a town that voted over 60% for Donald Trump." https://t.co/u8pcUSspLi

Tens of thousands of so-called Burners were still stranded Sunday in the debris field of trash, which in a twist of irony that didn’t go unnoticed could leave a nasty carbon footprint in its wake.
“Many people are abandoning their campsites and walking to the gate. In large numbers, this will leave a massive footprint that will not only be a cleanup nightmare, but could threaten the ability to hold future Burn events,” Daily Viral tweeted, while another account confirmed that assessment, also noting that “Most burners are leaving behind the camps and trash. Will be a big environmental cleanup crisis in the days to come.”
