The Biden administration is already running public relations for a fourth COVID-19 vaccination, in the form of a second booster shot.
In an ABC interview, President Joe Biden teased a brand new vaccine as a definite possibility according to “the science.”
“[Israel] is already moving forward with a second booster—so that would be a fourth shot for those 60 and over, and for front line medical workers. Is that something you’re considering?” the ABC host queried.
“I listen to the science, and I’m sure the scientists are paying very close attention to that,” Biden stated. “There may be a need for another booster, but that remains to be seen.”
“But it remains a possibility?” the host pressed.
“It remains a possibility.” Biden confirmed.
This interview took place in the midst of tension surrounding the omicron variant, despite the apparent mildness of the varied virus.
Reception of this news has been skeptical, to say the least:
I got my vaccinations plus the booster trying to do the prudent and safe thing. Last two shots made me incredibly ill…no thanks, I’m done with this. No fourth shot. This is not up for discussion or debate.

2025 we may need a 15th booster shot for the new variant because my stock portfolio says so!

This possibility was also laid out on the table right after the announcement of the Pfizer pill becoming the first available at-home COVID treatment in the United States.
While the effectiveness and possible side effects of the pill are unclear, the Biden administration has promised to “ensure equitable distribution.”
